Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
What do you think—did WWE wait too long to push Zelina Vega? Or was this the perfect moment?
I’m glad to see Zelina get a push, but I think the time has passed. Zelina was great as a manager with Andrade & Angel Garza, and that was her prime. She’s not believable as an in-ring wrestler though. She’s less than 5 feet tall and while that works for Rey Mysterio, Zelina is no Rey Mysterio. I’m happy for her, but she doesn’t really belong in her current role.
Leilani Kai, Wendi Richter, Penny Banner, Ann Casey, Fabulous Moolah, and Sue Green in an Elimination Chamber Match. Who wins?
Lelani Kai is a former WWE Women’s Champion and tag team champion. Richter, we all know, as we do Moolah. Penny Banner was the AWA Women’s Champion, while Ann Casey was the Women’s U.S. Champion. Sue Green was the Texas Champion. This would be an awesome match. Based on what I know about these legendary ladies, I think Sue Green would come out on top.
Chad Gable has been announced for World’s Collide, where he’ll face El Hijo del Vikingo. Thoughts?
I’d rather see El Grande Americano fighting Vikingo since we all know that he is NOT Chad Gable, but Gable versus Vikingo will be a good match. I’m looking forward to it.
Zelina Vega versus Chelsea Green wasn’t announced for SNME until SmackDown the night before, but WWE claims that it’s been planned for a while. Do you think this was planned out or a last-minute decision?
The match was only six minutes long and it didn’t have any build and looked sloppy at times. It was definitely a last-minute decision.
Jesse Ventura was complaining that NBC would never have broadcasted a cage match back in the ’80s, but there were two on SNME. Hogan versus Orndorff in ’86, and Hogan versus Big Bossman in ’89. Jesse was working for WWE and called the action as it happened. Thoughts?
Jesse is 73 years old and it’s obvious that age and time have taken their toll. Jesse was arguing to argue and be “The Body”. Why let the fact that he was there for what he’s arguing against ruin things, right?
AEW All In is scheduled for a special 2 pm start time to avoid any counter-programming by WWE. Good idea or not?
So, what if WWE schedules an afternoon show to be shown on Peacock? With three brands, WWE, NXT, and EVOLVE, it wouldn’t be hard to do. It sounds like a good idea by AEW, but if WWE decides to counter, it wouldn’t be hard to do.
Randy Orton versus Barry Windham. Who wins?
With both men in their prime, I think Barry would have the advantage and score the victory in this match.
It’s official. WWE Evolution 2 will be in July in Atlanta, GA. Thoughts?
I’m looking forward to this. It’s been a long time coming.
Now that the feud with Drew McIntyre is over, who should Damian Priest fight next?
Damian should go after Jacob Fatu and the United States Championship. If Jacob is too busy with Solo right now, then a good feud with Miz or Carmelo Hayes might be fun to see.
Push, Fire, Make into a Tag Team, and Leave Alone: Austin Theory, Chad Gable, Trick Williams, Ethan Page, and Charlie Dempsey.
I’d push Charlie Dempsey, fire Trick Williams, form a tag team with Chad Gable and Austin Theory, and leave All Ego Ethan Page alone.
