Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Allegedly, Triple H is said to hate the Money in the Bank match. So, if WWE were to cancel MITB, what should they replace it with?

MITB is essentially a WWE stable and it’s hard to think of a WWE without someone running around with a briefcase and a contract trying to sneak in a win and become a champion. TNA and its Feast or Fired match where the winner can choose a briefcase and might get a title shot, or might get fired, is pretty good, but it lacks the intrigue of MITB. I honestly can’t think of anything right now that would work better or improve on the match gimmick. Any ideas, anyone?

NXT will be running a show at the ECW Arena a week before AEW takes up a multi-week residency. Thoughts?

NXT is coming in to set the bar for AEW to attempt to beat in the weeks that follow. It’s a petty booking by WWE, but it is what it is. NXT has their show and says, “Top this!”. And AEW takes the bait and does their shows. Just another week in 2025 pro wrestling.

Athena has now passed over 900 Days as the ROH Women’s Champion. Thoughts?

Does it really count when no one sees her wrestle? ROH is just one step above WWE Evolve at this point, and even Evolve gets more regular TV time with the show on Tubi. It’s still a major accomplishment for Athena though. Congratulations to the former Ember Moon.

What are your memories and thoughts on Terry Garvin, aka Terry Simms?

Garvin was the heel commentator and occasional wrestler for USWA. Garvin played a gay character, with hair like Jimmy Garvin, and lots of pink wardrobes, and he talked in a very high-pitched, character voice full of sarcasm, bitterness, and snarkiness. Garvin was a classic heel and always entertaining. And when the scandals about the original Terry Garvin in WWE broke, Garvin changed his wrestling name to his real name, Terry Simms, to avoid association with the WWE scandals. Always entertaining, Simms did a podcast for a short while, before passing away at age 55 in 2018. He never worked for any of the major companies, but in terms of being a territory guy, he was the real deal and one of the best.

Angelo Mosca Jr. versus David Flair versus Jamie Dundee versus Nick Wayne. Who wins?

Well, we all know it won’t be David Flair winning. Mosca Jr., from what I remember, was actually decent in the ring. He didn’t stay in the business very long, but he worked a long feud with Ivan Koloff that I remember well. Nick Wayne has a ton of potential and seems to be improving under the guidance of Christian Cage in AEW. And the career of Dundee speaks for itself. This match would either be really good or just plain bad. It’s a tough call, but I think Wayne would get the win.

Mark Henry says WWE should use special filming and creative storytelling to help the Wyatt Sicks become a memorable faction instead of another failure. Thoughts?

WWE should use whatever it takes, be it editing, storytelling, or anything else to get the Wyatts over. The faction has so much potential, but it could easily go either way in terms of success. Hopefully, WWE will find the right way to make it work.

Describe the Macho Man Randy Savage in three words or less.

Intensity, charisma, and Macho.

Remember when the WWE Divas would pose for Playboy? If you could pick three WWE women to do a photo spread in Playboy, who would you pick?

I have no interest at all in seeing any of the WWE wrestlers doing a spread for Playboy. Is that magazine even still in business? But if I had to pick three, I’d go with Bayley, Rhea Ripley, and Asuka.

Fatal 4-Way Match: Kerry Von Erich versus Rick Steamboat versus Tommy Rich versus Ronnie Garvin. Who wins?

What do these four men have in common? They were all 1-time NWA World Heavyweight Champions. Steamboat, Garvin, and Vin Erich all did belt swaps with Ric Flair, while Rich did a quick swap with Harley Race. All four of these men were mostly fan favorites at the time of their brief runs, so it would be interesting to see who the fans would cheer. It’s a tough call here, but I think that in this match, Ronnie Garvin would come out as the winner.

Abandon is leaving AEW. Thoughts?

Who? Actually, I remember seeing her wrestle a few times. I can’t see WWE being interested, but maybe TNA will give her an opportunity. Otherwise, I think GCW has just found a new member for their roster. It’s no big loss for AEW.
