Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Hangman Adam Pearce versus The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko. Who wins?
Pearce is a cowboy, but Zbyszko is a Living Legend. Larry wins.
Will Naomi have a successful MITB cashing, or will she become the first Miss Money in the Bank to fail?
When the time comes, and Naomi cashes in, she’ll do well and become the WWE Women’s Champion once more.
Cardi B will be the official host of WWE SummerSlam. Would you like to see her compete in a match? If so, then against who?
I don’t want to see her in a match or even at SummerSlam. She adds absolutely nothing to the show or any WWE event. I personally hope that she’ll lose her plane tickets and luggage, and just stay home.
Natalya has been selected to receive the Lou Thesz Award from the Cauliflower Alley Club this August. Thoughts?
It’s the CAC’s highest honor, and Natalya is well deserving of this honor. Congratulations to Nattie for an award and honor well deserved.
Can we agree that 6-time Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is the only star not complaining about her spot on the roster? She hasn’t complained once.
Alexa hasn’t complained that we know of, but why would she? She was out for nearly two years and never missed a paycheck. And since her return, WWE has provided her with a bus, childcare at shows and events, and an ideal role within the company. Alexa Bliss is a good wrestler and has settled into a comfortable role in WWE.
Should WWE have brought back The Mexicools for the Worlds Collide event?
If that gimmick is never mentioned again, it will be too soon. And if this had been suggested, I think Konnan might have put a stop to it. All three wrestlers are still active, and both Juvi and Psicosis have appeared on AAA shows in recent years, so maybe having them in the audience would have been possible. All three are legends and have a legacy in AAA, so bring them back as the legends they are. But as the Mexicools? Nope. Never again.
Who is the first wrestler that comes to mind when you hear the word “Sleep”?
Jon Moxley because watching his matches will put you to sleep. Okay, I’m kidding. When I hear ‘Sleep’, I think of the man with the best sleeper in the history of professional wrestling, The Dean of Professional Wrestling, Johnny Weaver.
Who was the rudest wrestler you have met?
Two names come to mind. Sable. She was bored, disinterested, and obviously didn’t want to be there at the signing where I met her. She wasn’t really rude but just didn’t care. And the other? Jimmy Valiant. Valiant is a legend and very fan-friendly, so long as he thinks you’re going to pay him or buy something. I met him at a show in Durham, NC, and he was friendly, talking, and incredible until he realized that I was there with a couple of the wrestlers and not buying anything. And he turned it off and went, not even acknowledging me or my presence. He certainly made an impression on me.
Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of black wrestlers?
Ernie Ladd for sure. And Ron Simmons, Booker T., and R-Truth round things out.
The Wild Samoans, Afa & Sika, versus The British Bulldogs, Davey Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid, versus The Fabulous Freebirds, Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy, versus The Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Ole & Gene Anderson. Who wins?
Four of the most legendary teams in wrestling history, this would be an amazing match. It’s a very tough call and it’s hard to make a choice. My pick? The Fabulous Freebirds. Why? Bad Street. That’s why.
