Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Sheamus recently commented on how the tag of The Banger Brothers, himself and Drew McIntyre, was shut down quickly by WWE. Why do you think WWE moved on so quickly?
I remember this and my first thought on the one night that Sheamus and Drew used this name was that the Bang Brothers had a porn empire and were well-known in the Adult Entertainment business. I caught it immediately, and WWE was a little slow on the uptake, but eventually caught it and dropped the gimmick immediately. It probably hit too close to home with Vince.
Shotzi Blackheart says that she earned more for two days in the Indies than she did for a week in WWE. Thoughts?
But independent dates are not regular dates, the wrestler has to do all of the work involving reaching out to the promoters, working out fees and expenses, travel, and all of the footwork involving every aspect of the booking. With WWE, the money is consistent and the wrestler has to do it call the office and show up to wrestle. It’s like comparing apples to whiskey.
Enzo Amore says that he’s not putting anyone over in 2025. Is this just Enzo talking or do you think he’s serious?
Enzo is talking to be talking. If a promoter, who is paying his check, tells him to put someone over, he’ll do the job, or he won’t work there long or get paid. Enzo is a goof.
Would you want to see Mr. Iguana step inside a WWE/NXT ring? Should WWE capitalize on Mr. Iguana’s viral popularity with a long-term deal?
WWE needs a comedy character since R-Truth has gone all serious and is now Ron Killings. Mr. Iguana is there to fill the void and hole.
Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out of WWE together. Former Sasha Banks appears in front of 73 people. Naomi wins WWE Money in the Bank. Thoughts?
Sasha is probably making tons more money but as a wrestler looking for credibility, Naomi seems to have more going on and is in a better position, wrestling-wise.
Do you think LA Knight deserves a run with a World Title?
I don’t think so. No.
Who would make a great fourth man for the Seth/Bron/Bronson Alliance with Heyman?
Who is a future star with a huge potential? I would love to see either Grayson Waller or Austin Theory as part of this alliance, but WWE seems determined to use them as comedy characters. So, who would fit the bill and be a good choice? How about Ricky Saints?
Do you think WWE should go all-in on Mike Santana after his TNA contract expires?
If WWE wants him when the contract with TNA expires, they should make an offer and have a conversation. That would be the best for business.
Rick Rude versus Drew McIntyre. Who wins?
What a match this would be. Drew and Rude match up well in size and experience, and this would be one hell of a good match. It’s a tough call, but I think Drew would be in for a Rude Awakening. Rude would win.
