Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

According to Matt Riddle, CM Punk can’t fight and is difficult to work with backstage. Thoughts?

So, the Young Bucks and Jack Perry got beat up by a guy who can’t fight, and all of the positive noise about Punk and his current role in WWE is all lies. It sounds like Riddle is just doing what Riddle does best, running the mouth, and looking for attention. Maybe he’s jealous because Punk is making great money and he, Riddle, can barely get booked for MLW events. Riddle just had a bit too much to smoke and is talking stupid. Nothing more.

WWE Champion John Cena versus CM Punk at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Thoughts?

That sounds like a big money main event to me. We knew it would be happening eventually, and Saudi Arabia is as good a place as any. Well, Chicago would be better, but still, no complaints.

Now that R-Truth is being referred to as Ron Killings again, what do you want to see next? A more serious version of him, or a return to the comedy act we all know and love?

It looks as if we will be getting a more serious Truth. I’m sure that he’ll still do the occasional joke or comedy move, but it’s not R-Truth anymore. It’s Ron Killings and I’m happy to see it.

Mr. Iguana will be on SmackDown. Thoughts?

See that. If Truth won’t do the comedy, a substitute is already available. He’s ready to be AAA, and WWE’s by default, version of Orange Cassidy, but he’s green and carries around a stuffed lizard. But the dude looks like fun, so let’s see how this goes.

The Jey Uso Experiment is over. Gunther is the new World Champion. Thoughts?

WWE tried with Jey and he did a fair job, but it never quite felt right. Gunther makes a much better champion and representative for WWE on the wrestling side of things. I’m glad he’s champion again and I look forward to watching the Ring General have a long and fruitful reign.

According to Sean Ross Sapp, AEW had plans to feature Christian & Cope (Edge) versus FTR at All In (Texas), but Christian wants to continue the “Patriarchy” theme for a bit longer. Is this a missed opportunity or a smart move?

Given their past history just in AEW, a tag team all of a sudden with Christian and Cope doesn’t make sense. And the “Daddy” gimmick with Christian is too good to give up so quickly. I’m glad that AEW is holding off on this match. It’ll happen eventually, but there is no need to rush it.

It was revealed on RAW (if you blinked, you missed it) that Asuka will be returning as part of the Queen of the Ring Quarter-Finals against Ivy Nile, Stephanie Vaquer, and Raquel Rodriguez. Thoughts?

She’ll be back next Monday and after over a year away, it’s time for the Empress to reclaim her throne. I’ll be so glad to see her back. Welcome home, Empress. And yes, we are ready for Asuka.

Do you watch Celtic Warrior Workouts? And which WWE Superstar do you want to see Sheamus train with next?

Sheamus just broke over a million subscribers for his show on YouTube. I have watched a few times, but I’m not a regular viewer. Too many Cornette, Dutch, and corrupt cop videos take up all my time. As for who would be fun to see interact with Sheamus, Santino Marella would be fun. Interviewer Chris Van Vliet would be good. And how about Matt Cardona?

Do you think WWE should book Naomi vs. Jade Cargill at Evolution 2—or should Naomi cash in on Tiffany Stratton first?

Naomi should cash in on Tiffany when she’s ready and the time is right. As for Naomi and Jade, Evolution 2 would be a great place to have them clash.

JBL thinks that Vince McMahon will end up joining another wrestling promotion. Do you agree with JBL?

Vince has too much baggage, plus too much of an ego to be an asset right now or work for AEW, and since TNA is aligned with WWE, that won’t happen either. I think JBL might be wrong on this one.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
