AAA TripleMania Regia 2025
Thoughts & Predictions

Coming up on Sunday from Monterey, Mexico, is AAA TripleMania Regia. This is AAA’s biggest event of the year, aka their version of WrestleMania. Normally, I wouldn’t cover an AAA event, but since WWE now owns them, plus TNA wrestlers are involved, what the hell? I’m Doug, and it’s prediction time. Are you ready? Let me speak on this. Let’s go.
AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo vs. Alberto el Patron: Steel Cage Match.
Not only does Alberto Del Rio still have a job, but he’s in the main event of the biggest show of the year. And people say that wrestling has grown too predictable. Who would have ever predicted this? Everyone is being professional and doing business. In the words of former WWE star Carlito, “That’s cool!”. As for this match, one thing is still predictable. Vikingo isn’t losing that gold.
Winner and STILL AAA Mega Champion: Hijo del Vikingo.
AAA Tag Team Champions Forastero & Sanson vs. Psycho Clown & Pagano vs. Angel Garza and Berto vs. TNA Tag Team Champions Nic and Ryan Nemeth.
The four top teams in the match that AAA does so well are multi-man and chaotic. I don’t see the Nemeths winning, as they already have TNA Tag Team gold around their waists. But my gut is saying new champions. Does AAA keep the belts with the family or the new additions to the family cookouts? I think WWE has to get one win here, and since Garza especially has a long familial background and history with AAA, he’s a safe bet.
Winners and NEW AAA Tag Team Champions: Angel Garza & Berto.
La Parka & Laredo Kid & Octagon Jr. vs. Abismo Negro Jr. & Taurus & Histeria.
Here comes the craziness in what will be a traditional Lucha match with six of Mexico’s best. I’m only vaguely familiar with most of these guys. I know the names, but not much else, so this pick is pretty much just a guess. I was a fan of the original La Parka in WCW, so let’s give his namesake some love.
Winners: La Parka, Laredo Kid, and Octagon Jr.
TNA X-Division Champion Moose vs. Joe Hendry vs. Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. El Mesias.
Is Moose’s title on the line? Okay, I looked and it is. So, that narrows it down quite a bit. El Mesias is practically unknown in the United States, so he won’t be winning the title. Wagner has worked TNA before so there is a chance, albeit slight. I think we’ll see a new champion, but the winner will be the man who needs the victory the most. He lost the match at WrestleMania, and then lost the TNA Championship to Trick Williams. Does AAA believe in Joe Hendry? We’ll find out on Sunday.
Winner and NEW TNA X-Division Champion: Joe Hendry.
AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Lady Flammer vs. Dalys vs. Lady Shani.
While WWE, NXT, and TNA all feature a ton of women’s matches, this show only gets one. And I don’t know much about any of these women. We’ll just make a random pick here. The champion, Lady Flammer’s name, reminds me of Flame, the creator of the Philosopher’s Stone in the Harry Potter movies. Since I’m currently working on a Harry Potter fan-fiction story in my free time, that seals it for me.
Winner and STILL AAA Reina de Reinas Champion: Lady Flammer.
Mr. Iguana & El Fiscal & Nino Hamburguesa vs. SB Kento & Takuma & Nobu San.
Another six-man tag team match with the top stars of AAA, but this one isn’t that hard to predict. WWE is seeing money with the green guy, Mr. Iguana, and that means he must be protected. He’s not losing this match, nor is his team.
Winners: Mr. Iguana, El Fiscal, and Nino Hamburguesa.
And there you have it, my predictions for AAA TripleMania. It should be an excellent show, although I’m not sure how anyone outside of Mexico can view it. I haven’t seen any notes about PLE, PPV, or streaming. There is still time so maybe it will be on YouTube at least. I hope so.
So, what are your thoughts and predictions? Let me know in the comments, along with any questions you might have about AAA, WWE, or anything wrestling-related. Or anything at all. I’m an open book and I’m here for you. And with that, I’m out of here. Look for a few Ultimate Wrestling Q&As and maybe even an Ultimate X Q&A in your feed later today. They’re coming. And with that, I’m out of here. I’ll see you at the matches.
Ubuntu!
