Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

There are a lot of great wrestling content creators. Who are your favorites?

Jim Cornette, Stevie Richards, Dutch Mantell, Chris Van Vliet, and James Romero.

Kota Ibushi is back in AEW. Thoughts?

It took me a while to remember who this guy was. He rode a bicycle to the ring and circled, hitting people with a pipe until he was clotheslined to the floor. A guy with a reputation in New Japan, but AEW killed his credibility with that one stupid segment. He’s back? Who cares? I wonder if he brought his ten-speed with him?

When asked, Kevin Owens said that he thinks El Grande Americano is actually Elias. Is KO right? Thoughts?

No, it’s not Elias. KO is wrong. El Grande Americano is actually Mr. America, aka Hulk Hogan. After all, Hogan’s beer is American Made. Coincidence? I think not.

Are you planning to watch WWE LFG this season?

Nope. I’ll read the recaps and watch highlights on YouTube, but there is so much wrestling on TV, online, and everywhere else, that I don’t have the time.

Do you think Motor City Machine Guns made the right move by going to WWE?

The plans for AEW, had they signed, was a match against The Young Bucks and then? Who knows? In WWE, they’ve already been tag team champions and are in the mix for the top of the tag team division on SmackDown. Plus, AEW went cold during negotiations and WWE snatched them up. They made the right call.

Michelle McCool versus Mercedes Mone. Who wins?

I’m not a fan of Mercedes, but McCool isn’t anything without her husband pulling strings for her. Mone wins.

Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of (legit) brother tag teams?

This one is tough, but I’d go with The Usos, The Funks (Terry & Dory Funk Jr.), The Von Erichs, and The Briscoes (Mark & Jay). And a shout out to The Mulkey Brothers, just because.

AEW hasn’t used Britt Baker since November 2024, while AEW hasn’t used Jack Perry since losing the TNT Championship to Daniel Garcia at AEW Full Gear 2024. So, both are under contract and getting paid, but AEW just isn’t using them. Why?

With Baker, I heard that there was an injury, but I think it has as much to do with her ex, Adam Cole, being a top guy and in Tony Khan’s ear as much as anything. As for Perry, it’s out of sight and out of mind. AEW won’t release him since he’s buddies with the EVPs but doesn’t want to use him since he’s a living reminder and the reason for the loss of one of the biggest stars in wrestling, CM Punk. So he sits at home, gets a check, and everyone is happy.

Would you want to see Joe Hendry compete at Bloodsport and bring out his old-school grappling side?

If Hendry wants to do it, and he seemingly does, TNA should allow him to do it. It would only add to his credibility with the fans and add multiple layers to his character. I’d like to see it happen.

What do you think about the way WWE and TNA are handling their crossover surprises?

Allegedly, talents are not being told about working the other promotions and events until the last second. It has to be rough on the wrestlers not being filled in on the details but look at it this way. No leaks and the surprise factors and impact remain strong as a result. That works for me.
