Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Injuries in WWE: Dom Mysterio has bruised ribs. LA Knight’s injury is 100% kayfabe. And Chad Gable will be getting shoulder surgery next week. Thoughts?
Wrestling is a very physical business and injuries happen. Best wishes to all for a speedy and painless recovery.
Do you agree that AEW is better than NXT?
NXT has structure and storytelling. AEW has? It’s a damn mess. No, I do not agree.
Trade Prospect: Will Ospreay to WWE and AJ Styles to AEW. Yes or no?
This one, I might go for. AJ is wrapping up his in-ring career and AEW would mean an easier schedule and probably a bigger paycheck. And I’d like to see what Ospreay can do with proper storytelling, a structured support system, and against actual professionals. Yeah, I’d approve of this trade.
Rey Mysterio recently commented that he’d like to see more mixed matches in WWE, and would like to have Asuka as a partner. Thoughts?
The Mixed Match Challenge? Yeah, that was fun and I’d like to see it return. Rey and Asuka as a team? That could be fun, but honestly, I don’t think Rey is ready for Asuka. No one is ready for Asuka.
Pak Song versus Curtis Axel. Who wins?
Does anyone even remember Pak Song? A 7-foot tall Korean wrestler from the late ’60s and early ’70s who worked mainly as a heel in Florida. He was a great heel, but his wrestling skills were only slightly better than El Gigante. Axel was highly underrated in WWE and still managed to keep a spot for over a decade, with multiple reigns as a tag team champion, as well as time as the Intercontinental Champion and a Paul Heyman guy under his belt. Song would chop Axel down quite a bit, but one Perfect Plex later, Axel would get the win.
Zelina Vega says that she wants a dream match against Asuka at Evolution 2. Would you like to see this match?
Vega versus Asuka, possibly for the Women’s United States Championship? Yeah, I’d like to see that match. Book it, Nick Aldis.
How would Sting’s legendary career have gone – and would it still have ended in AEW – if he hadn’t gotten injured at WWE Night of Champions 2015?
Honestly, I don’t think there would have been many changes. WWE was never going to use Sting as the top guy and once they got the Mania match out of him, he would have been moved into a part-time role and eventually released. I think AEW was his destiny, regardless of whatever WWE did or didn’t do.
Who do you think would win in a real fight — John Cena or Idris Elba?
Who is Idris Elba? I looked it up and Wikipedia says he’s an English actor, rapper, singer, and DJ. It says nothing about being an athlete, fighter, or legit tough guy. Based on that, plus he comes across as a nimrod, I think Cena would whip his ass. He’d never see it coming.
Would you subscribe to a Saraya OnlyFans?
I’ve already seen her best work in the videos with Xavier Woods and Brad Maddox, and honestly, I was more impressed by them than her. So, why pay some something we’ve already seen? No, I would not subscribe.
Do you think WWE should slot Drew McIntyre right back into the main event scene when he returns?
Drew is at the point now that he is a top guy and should immediately be part of the top of the roster, period. No excuses and no questions asked. He’s earned that spot, so yes, that’s where he belongs.
