Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Would you like to see Maria Kanellis return to WWE for Evolution 2?

Maria just announced yesterday that she is pregnant again with Child #3, so I doubt she’ll be at the WWE event.

Do you agree with Ryback that CM Punk isn’t a sellout for working in Saudi Arabia? Or do you think Punk compromised his principles?

I think Punk is a bit hypocritical, but he’s doing what his job requires of him, and can I blame him for that? Maybe his opinions and values have changed. It happens as people grow and develop. Ryback is still a pinhead, but even the broken clock is right twice a day.

Finn Balor & JD McDonagh, Judgment Day, are the new World Tag Team Champions. And did you hear the big pop from the fans? Thoughts?

For a group of heels, Judgment Day is extremely over. Finn is still considered a heel, but Dom, Raquel, and JD are getting more popular every day due to their work, their grit, and just being cool. When the eventual breakup of Judgment Day happens, the response is to be epic. Congratulations to the new World Tag Team Champions.

Who do you think the new El Grande Americano is?

We know it’s not Chad Gable since he’s out with an injury. And it’s not Hulk Hogan since he’s currently in the hospital as well. My guess? Scotty Riggs or maybe Buff Bagwell. They were, after all, the American Males.

Lyra Valkyria and Bayley’s Number One contenders match ended in a draw. So, who challenges Becky for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship?

We’re going to end up with a triple-threat match with Becky Lynch being forced to defend against both Lyra and Bayley, most likely at Evolution 2. And you know what? I’m good with that.

It’s Rhea Ripley versus Iyo Sky at WWE Evolution. Are we getting a new champion?

This match is long overdue, and yes, we’re getting a new champion, because Mami is always on top.

Iyo Sky versus Sherri Martel. Who wins?

Iyo is an amazing wrestler and she’s growing on me more and more each week. But Sherri was a legend and would do whatever it took to score the win. Iyo is probably the better wrestler, but Sherri wasn’t called Sensational for nothing. Sherri would win.

The rumors are that CM Punk versus Gunther will be headlining SummerSlam. Thoughts?

That would be a solid and entertaining match. It sounds good to me. Book it, Triple H.

WWE is said to be interested in several AEW stars whose contracts end this year including Danhausen, Private Party, Renee Paquette, Chris Jericho, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker. Would you be interested in seeing any of these talents come to WWE? If so, then who?

I can’t see how Danhausen would work in the WWE system. And aside from a Hall of Fame induction, I can’t see Jericho doing anything. Parker, Menard, and Private Party would all work well in the NXT system and could be made into strong WWE superstars. And Renee? WWE needs a good in-ring interviewer, to be the modern-day Mean Gene or Jim Ross. Renee worked well in that role before and would be welcome back to the WWE anytime.

Would you love to see Charlotte on Dancing with the Stars or as a guest on RuPaul’s Drag Race?

I don’t watch either of those shows, but I’m always interested in seeing my favorite wrestlers do outside projects and get featured on TV or in other non-wrestling formats. So yeah, if the opportunity comes up, Charlotte should definitely give it a chance.

Dirty Dominik Mysterio is the most tenured member of The Judgement Day, so that automatically now makes him the Leader of the Group, right?

Based on his experience level, Finn Balor is the veteran of the group and the most natural choice to be the leader. But Judgment Day is a fair and balanced faction and they don’t have a leader. They have discussions and vote, as they should. And Dom is one of the loudest voices, as he should be.

Do you think Travis Scott has what it takes to succeed in WWE?

Nope. WWE should stay as far away from Scott and cut all ties as thoroughly as possible. He brings nothing positive to the table.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
