Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Are you planning to check out WWE: Unreal when it hits Netflix?
I’m sure that I’ll watch it and give it a shot when it first airs. Whether or not I’ll be a regular viewer is yet to be determined. This show is not needed and it kind of irks me that so much of the business is getting exposed so blatantly. But I’m sure I’ll check it out.
Do you think Ricky Saints crossed a line by showing up at WWE events while still under the AEW contract?
Nope. He was there to support his friend. Ricky did not appear in view of the audience or on camera. Other wrestlers have done it and nobody said a word. Ricky did nothing wrong.
Were you watching Over the Edge live when the tragedy occurred?
Nope. I was at work. A friend called me at work that night to tell me what had happened with Owen.
Shayna Baszler recently worked as a producer for a match in NXT. Thoughts?
Good for her. WWE knows talent and is keeping her close by. Then, when an opportunity comes up that requires a wrestler like Shayna, they won’t have to hunt her down. This keeps the paychecks coming in regularly, plus keeps Baszler in the WWE bubble. Works for me.
Which event this weekend are you most looking forward to? NXT Great American Bash, ROH Supercard of Honor, WWE Evolution, Saturday Night Main Event, or AEW All In Texas.
I’m most looking forward to WWE Evolution 2, and then Saturday Night Main Event. I have a strong feeling that both shows will deliver and be excellent. The Bash will be very good as well. And the other two shows, they’ll have their moments, but I don’t have much faith in their booker.
If you could recruit three wrestlers for WWE Evolve, to start immediately, who would you recruit?
Right off the top of my head, Tripp Cautious, Sammy Love, and for one last big run, Michael Youngblood. Mike deserves that moment in the sun.
Do we really need another Evolution PPV?
We don’t need it, but then again, we probably didn’t need that piece of cheesecake at 3:30 this morning either. But I wanted it, it was there, and damn, it was good. And this looks to be a solid show that will give the spotlight to the lovely ladies of WWE and NXT. I’m not complaining at all.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
