Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Adam Pearce & Nick Aldis versus Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre. Who wins?
This would be a fun match, and I’d love to see the two former NWA Champions, Pearce and Aldis, back in the ring. Logan and Drew would win the match, but the two General Managers would give them a lesson that they would never forget.
Dustin Rhodes is the new AEW TNT Champion. Thoughts?
This was a pleasant surprise. Dustin worked three matches in less than 24 hours and still came out on top to win his first piece of AEW Singles Gold. Dustin just added another chapter to his story, just when everyone was thinking the book was nearly over. It was a great moment and congratulations to Dustin for a well-deserved victory.
Bianca Belair has been named the special guest referee for the Jade Cargill versus Naomi No Holds Barred Match at WWE Evolution. Thoughts?
Given her history with both women, this is a good move and makes sense. It adds to the match, gives Bianca a spot, and should be very interesting.
Adam Cole had to forfeit his TNT Championship and is taking time off for injuries with a possible retirement in the future. Thoughts?
Cole hasn’t looked well in a while, and now it’s been revealed that Cole is suffering from a concussion. Here’s to a speedy and strong recovery for Adam Cole, Bay-bay!
How would you rate the Great American Bash on a scale of 1-10?
A solid show and I enjoyed it. I’d give it a seven out of ten.
How would you rate AEW All In: Texas on a scale of 1-10?
This was too long, but it never seemed to slow down. So much was going on, from start to finish. But it delivered. I’ll give it a 7 out of 10.
How would you rate Saturday Night’s Main Event on a scale of 1-10?
Too many commercials, but it was another solid show. I’ll give this one a seven out of ten as well.
Jacob Fatu versus Samoa Joe. Who wins?
Samoa Joe is a legend and always impressive, but this one would be a win for the Samoan Werewolf. Jacob Fatu with the win.
What were your thoughts on having former WCW Head of Security Doug Dillinger escort Goldberg for his final entrance?
It was a nice gesture and a flashback to the past. It added to the moment and was small, but significant. Also, Ernest “The Cat” Miller was part of Goldberg’s entourage as he walked to the ring. That was cool too.
Gunther BEAT Goldberg. Goldberg is finished. Thoughts?
The match was better than I was expecting and was a good send-off for the former WCW Champion. I hope that Goldberg has a nice and peaceful retirement.
Would Goldberg have been as successful if he had started in WWE instead of WCW?
Nope. Vince McMahon would never have taken an unproven talent and given him a long winning streak or allowed him to squash everyone. Goldberg might have had a good WWE career, but it would have been a mid-card success at best.
