Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
It seems as if Seth Rollins legitimately injured his knee at SNME against LA Knight. Thoughts?
From what I’ve seen today, it’s estimated that Seth will be out of action for 5-8 months and the injury is legitimate. This is a tough break for Seth and for WWE since so many of their plans seem to revolve around Seth. Luckily, the roster is so strong right now, that things can still move forward, albeit with a few alterations. Here’s to Seth for a speedy and painless recovery. Get well soon, sir.
If the injury to Seth keeps him out for a long time, what happens to the MITB contract? Does he forfeit it, give it to Breakker, or what?
It seems that Seth will be back with time left to cash in the MOTB contract within the given period of a year, so that shouldn’t be a problem. However, if Seth were to give the contract to one of his associates, Bron Breakker or Bronson Reed, that would be cool. I’m sure they’ll address that issue soon enough on RAW.
Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin both returned at AEW All In: Texas to fight the Death Riders during the main event. Thoughts?
Two big returns and surprises. If anyone had to drop in and fight off the Death Riders, it makes sense that Danielson and Darby were the ones. I’m honestly surprised that Sting wasn’t part of it as well. I don’t know if this means Danielson will be returning to the ring or not, but it was a nice surprise for the fans in Dallas.
Allegedly, Gunther is currently being planned as John Cena’s last opponent. Thoughts?
Have Gunther be the man who retired both Goldberg and John Cena on his resume? That sounds cool to me.
Adam Copeland saved Christian when his “sons” turned on him at AEW All In: Texas. So, it’s Cope and Christian together again. Thoughts?
Yeah, Edge saved Christian by having his played, getting the pyro, doing the entire stage walk, and then walking down the ramp, stopping to pose before going to the ring. What is the old saying, “With friends like that?”. Even Travis Scott was watching at home and was saying, “This dude needs to hurry his ass up!”. I’m glad to see Christian and Edge reunited. But that save was… All I can say is, “Wow!”.
Randy Orton has recently dropped a few hints about playing the role of Batman in James Gunn’s DCU. Thoughts?
He’s got the looks for it and the physique. I can see it. He’s already been the Legend Killer and The Viper. Why not Batman? I’d like to see it.
What do you think of Toni Storm beating Mercedes Moné to retain the AEW Women’s Title?
Someone had to do it and Toni is certainly worthy. No objections here.
Kelly Kelly was invited to Evolution 2 by WWE to make an appearance sitting in the crowd but declined. Thoughts?
So it’s good enough for Jazz, Jacqueline, Molly Holly, Lelani Kai, Vickie Guerrero, Torrie Wilson, Madusa, Melina, Maryse, and Ivory, but Kelly Kelly thinks she’s too good? That was her prerogative, but with all the available legends, she wasn’t missed.
