Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Why does HHH look so miserable when he takes questions at the post-show press conferences?
If I had to answer questions from fake journalists like Meltzer and Sapp, I’d look miserable too. I guess that Hiunter feels like it’s a waste of time with these Scrums. And he’s right, but TKO wants them and AEW does them, so WWE does too.
Where is Britt Baker? She is a legitimate day 1 AEW signee and remains one of the top names in the company. If she isn’t injured or working on other projects, what is the reason for Tony Khan to keep her off TV for as long as he has?
I have no idea. Only Tony knows for sure.
Would you like to see AJ Styles wrestle again in TNA?
The rumor mill is strong that we may see AJ Styles in TNA this upcoming weekend at TNA Slammiversary, so that it may be happening very soon. And yes, I’d love to see it.
What is your favorite wrestling faction of all time, after The Horsemen?
After the Horsemen, that’s a tough call. I’m a huge fan of 3MB, the nWo Wolfpack, and Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express, but are they Number 2? At the moment, I’ll go with Finn, Dom, JD, Raquel, Liv, and Roxanne, aka Judgment Day. Or Heyman’s Dangerous Alliance from WCW. Either/Or.
Mil Mascaras turns 83 years old today. What are your thoughts and memories of the Lucha Legend?
A talented lucha wrestler known as the man of 1000 masks. Growing up in the late 70s with the Apter mags, Mil Mascaras was one of their favorite subjects, and he’s a true wrestling legend. I’ve also heard the stories about his being a Diva at times and refusing to take bumps or lose. But I have much respect for the man and his legacy. Happy Birthday, Mil.
Liv Morgan or Tiffany Stratton?
Liv has become a great character and entertaining in the ring. Tiffy is talented, but her whine tends to grate on my nerves. Of the two, I’m more of a fan of Liv.
Tony Khan says that MJF is the white-collar version of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Agree or disagree?
I don’t know where Tony got that comparison from, but I have to disagree. MJF and Stone Cold are not comparable in the least. It’s like comparing a T-Bone to a hot dog. They’re both meat, but apart from that, there is no comparison. MJF could easily be compared to The Miz, and it would make sense, but Steve Austin? Give me a break.
In his final match, Goldberg gave referee Charles Robinson a broken rib. Thoughts?
And somewhere, Bret Hart is watching and saying, “I told you so!”. It was an accident, and accidents happen. And they happen more often when Bill Goldberg is involved. Here’s to Little Naitch for a quick and speedy recovery.
Is WWE really hurting its own product by trying to step on AEW’s toes, or is this healthy competition?
WWE is hurting their own product by overexposure and overpricing their events, but the whole rivalry with AEW? That is called being petty and payback, but in all fairness, AEW started it, and actions have consequences. AEW poked the WWE bear first, so they can’t complain when the bear bites their face off.
