Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Hulk Hogan passed away. Thoughts?

Normally, I try to answer questions in the order I find them, but even though I have over forty questions waiting to be answered, this one immediately jumps to the front of the line. And honestly, how do I react to this? I’ve never been a fan of The Hulkster, and yes, I rag on him often, but it’s Hulk Hogan. And I’m essentially in shock. What can I say? Hogan was a legend. In a world where that word is tossed around pretty casually, few deserve it more than Hogan. In the 1980s, Hogan was a prominent figure in the WWF and professional wrestling. To say that Hogan changed the landscape forever would be an understatement. Yes, he had his issues and scandals, but his legacy in professional wrestling is unparalleled. I’m sure that there will be plenty to say about Hogan in the days and weeks to come, but for now, Rest in Peace, Terry Gene Bollea, aka Hulk Hogan. Forever a legend, you will be missed.

When you rate matches by the star system, are the majority of your stars given for moves or storytelling?

The storytelling. I don’t care about how pretty a move might be, so long as it has a purpose and makes sense. The best matches tell a great story, and for that, it’s how I judge them.

2 out of 3 Falls: John Cena versus Harley Race. Who wins?

Cena would win the first fall, but then, Harley would get serious and show Cena why he considered himself the best wrestler on God’s green earth. Harley wins.

Sonya Deville says that she’s retired from wrestling “for now” and that it’s weird for her to think about wrestling anywhere else but WWE. Thoughts?

It’s hard to imagine Sonya anywhere other than WWE, although she would do well in AEW. Hopefully, WWE and Sonya will reconnect at some point, either as a wrestler, trainer, or agent. Sonya would do well in any of these roles. She’s a very talented superstar.

Goldberg broke his hand sometime during his final match. Thoughts?

So, aside from breaking the ribs of Charles Robinson, Goldberg hurt himself as well. Somewhere, Bret Hart is wearing a big smirk on his face. I guess the speculation about Goldberg going off and having another match doesn’t seem quite as serious now. He needs to heal up first.

Torrie Wilson turns 50 years old today. Thoughts?

And Torrie still looks like someone in their mid-30s. That’s a beautiful young woman. Happy Birthday, Torrie.

Fabulous Moolah versus Jacqueline. Who wins?

Moolah could shoot and fight dirty if necessary, but Jackie could not only take her, but I think Jackie would kick her ass. Jacqueline wins.

According to insider sources, the WWE has no interest in bringing back Saraya/Paige. Thoughts?

Seriously, what would Saraya bring to the table for WWE? She can’t work a full schedule at risk of injuries, and with all of her recent ‘revelations’, her credibility and reputation are shaky at best. Saraya would be a walking PR time bomb and would cause more issues than she’s worth. I feel WWE is correct with this decision.

With the passing of Hulk Hogan, who will be the first to comment and embarrass themselves on X? Linda Hogan, Ryback, Bret Hart, or Ric Flair?

I haven’t seen any comments from Bret, Ryback, or Linda yet. Linda will probably keep it short and respectful due to her children, Brooke and Nick. Ryback has me blocked, so I couldn’t see his page. Bret just hasn’t commented yet. And Ric? It was a nice post about Hogan, putting Hulk over, but Flair still managed to mention his late son Reid, and play the victim, making it all about Flair. And what is the deal with every word capitalized? Only the Nature Boy!

Drew McIntyre versus Scott Hall. Who wins?

This would be a banger of a match and incredible to see. The two men are similar in size and body, and both are so smooth in the ring as well. Drew would win the match, not because he’s the better wrestler, but Hall liked to put others over and help make stars. As long as the match was great, Scott would be cool with it. Drew wins, and Scott takes a survey. One more for the bad guy.
