Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
How will wrestling fans remember Hulk Hogan?
For the majority of older fans, he’s the man who changed wrestling forever. The red & yellow, say your prayers and eat your vitamins. Or he’s the larger than life Hollywood, who is nWo 4 Life. And for a few, woken dipshits, who cares what they remember? Hogan was the face of sports-entertainment for many years. Like him or not, he’s an icon and wrestling legend.
With their contracts due to expire this year, Karrion Kross & Scarlett still haven’t been offered new WWE deals, according to WWE talent. Thoughts?
Maybe we’ll end up with a last-minute deal where Kross wrestles a match against Sami to get a new contract? Or maybe the deal has already been signed, but WWE and Kross are staying quiet to keep the fans guessing? I feel confident that a new contract is in play. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t.
So, Bubba the Love Sponge was right about Hulk Hogan, right? Thoughts?
Bubba the Love Sponge is an idiot who is trying to turn this whole situation into a redemption tour for Bubba the Love Sponge. Right or wrong, who cares? He just needs to go away… forever.
Pete Dunne and Charlie Dempsey have been announced for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV. Thoughts?
Two very talented wrestlers are taking a moment to shine away from WWE while things in the company are slow for them. This event should make for some memorable moments in their careers and put more eyes on their talents and abilities. Good for Dunne and Dempsey.
What does Hulk Hogan’s legacy mean to you? Do you have a favorite moment from his career?
When I think of the Hogan legacy, I think of the whole Rock & Wrestling connection. And my favorite moment? When he jobbed out and lost to Arn Anderson twice on WCW Monday Nitro.
All the tributes and condolences from everywhere are coming in about Hulk Hogan, but there has been no response at all from AEW or Tony Khan. Thoughts?
Lio Rush, of all people, did post a respectful tribute for Hogan, and has received threats and insults as a result. Tony Khan made a statement six years ago that Hulk and Linda Hogan were barred from AEW forever, and, at least on this, he’s being consistent. It looks bad, petty, and third-rate. But as Tony continues to show, that’s all he is in many ways. He’s a great friend to his favorite wrestlers, but he’s a petty, man-child more often than not as well. AEW and Tony should be ashamed.
WWE has cancelled the Late Night event for SummerSlam weekend, starring Tony Hinchcliffe. Thoughts?
The interest wasn’t there, and the tickets weren’t selling. WWE is doing what’s best for business.
Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas versus Mr. Wrestling II and Magnum TA. Who wins?
As good as II and Magnum were, I think Haas & Shelton would be just that much better. It’d make for a great match and have the fans on the edge of their seats. Haas & Shelton would get the win.
Alberto del Rio lost to El Mesias and is out of AAA. Thoughts?
I think we all knew it was just a matter of time. Del Rio burned too many bridges in the past, and it was surprising that WWE kept him with AAA as long as they did. Hasta la vista, Del Rio.
Chelsea Green was asked about Hulk Hogan on CBS News and has received threats in response to her comments. Thoughts?
I’ve read her comments, and she said nothing wrong. She talked about the legacy and the career of Hulk Hogan. She didn’t go into the scandals, and all of her “fans” went crazy with threats, insults, and slurs to her person and character. Social justice at its best. The scum of the earth just looking for a target, and unfortunately, Chelsea fell into their sights. Again, Chelsea said nothing wrong, and this is how the so-called fans act. Sad!
