Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Do you think that Chris Jericho’s time away from AEW will make him fresh when he comes back?

It sure can’t hurt. Jericho has been majorly overexposed over the past few years, and a break was definitely needed. Will it freshen up his character and AEW presence? That depends on how Jericho is used or what he does when he returns, but it surely can’t hurt.

Also, couldn’t Jon Moxley use the same kind of time off-screen that Jericho has had?

Moxley is overexposed for sure, and a long break would help improve his character greatly.

Did Dusty Rhodes steal his gimmick from Rufus R. Jones?

Dusty borrowed aspects of his character from Rufus R. Jones, Thunderbolt Patterson, Superstar Graham, Muhammad Ali, and every Southern black preacher who delivered a fire-and-brimstone sermon during the sixties and seventies. Dusty picked the best parts of everyone, blended them all together with his style and personality, and became the American Dream. He didn’t steal anything, but borrowed. ‘Nuff said!

Who has the most devastating spear? Roman Reigns, Bron Breakker, or Goldberg.

Bron Breakker and it’s not even close.

The Velveteen Dream recently said in an interview that he most likely would have died from drugs if WWE hadn’t released him. Thoughts?

So, Dream was abusing drugs while working for NXT. Does that explain the e-mails with the underage guy, or filming other wrestlers in the bathroom? I’m so tired of Patrick Clark and his repeated attempts to get attention and salvage his career as a wrestler. I don’t care what he says.

What are your thoughts on the new faction, The Triangle of Madness, aka Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue, in AEW?

Who? I had already forgotten about them, and most of AEW, including Tony Khan, will probably do so as well within the next three months. And by the way, that name sucks.

Do you think AEW waited too long to pay tribute to Hulk Hogan, or did Tony Schiavone handle it the right way?

Tony Khan still hasn’t acknowledged Hogan’s passing on his X account, and neither has AEW’s official site. It was just Tony, and he was respectful, but so far as AEW goes, yeah, they waited way too long.

Could you see MJF becoming a full-time movie star?

At some point, once the wrestling career has slowed down, I can easily see Max making a full-time transition to Hollywood. The guy has a good presence and the chops to be a big name in TV and movies.

Netflix wants to reboot The A-Team, but with WWE wrestlers in all the major roles. Who would you pick for each role?

This question brings back memories. For the role of Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith, I’d want a strong, older fellow with George Peppard vibes. Maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin? Playing the role of Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, made famous by Dirk Benedict, I’d use The Miz. Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock, made famous by Dwight Schultz, I’d use LA Knight. And finally, in Mr. T’s role of Sgt. B.A. Baracus, how about Jacob Fatu?

Have you seen Happy Gilmore 2 yet? How would you rate MJF and Becky Lynch and their roles in the movie?

I watched the movie last night and it was damn good. Very Adam Sandlerish, as it should be. Go watch it on Netflix. So far as Becky Lynch and MJF go, they killed it and stand out in a movie full of stand-out cameos.
