Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
How did Sheamus go from fully dressed backstage on RAW to a ring introduction dressed to wrestle ten seconds later? Thoughts?
Sheamus is a quick-change artist and knows how to switch clothing really fast. Or it was a rare production error by WWE. Whatever works best for you.
Do you think we’ll be getting Sheamus versus Rusev at SummerSlam?
Nope, but it was announced that we’re getting another banger next week on RAW between the two battling brutes. That works too.
Bar Fight: Mike Tyson versus Brock Lesnar. Who wins?
So long as it’s trading punches, Tyson only needs one good hit, but if Brock manages to get close and tie him up, it’s all Brock. This is a wrestling-themed column, so I’ll go with Brock.
Lyra is an excellent in-ring performer, but she has zero charisma. Yes or no?
Very true. She barely got a reaction from the fans when she came to the ring last night at RAW, and it was downhill from there. That little dance was absolutely groan-worthy. And then, it was like, will this ever end? Talents like Lyra are why managers were so popular in the past. Lyra can go in the ring and has few peers, but when she gets on the mic, it’s time to mute the channel or take a bathroom break.
Naomi was wearing red & yellow during her match on RAW. A homage to Hulk Hogan?
I think it was. Subtle, but to the point. Thumbs up to Naomi for that, even if it wasn’t acknowledged by WWE, and most of the fans haven’t caught on yet.
JD McDonagh & Finn Balor versus Diamond Dallas Page & Kanyon. Who wins?
This match would be incredible. DDP and Kanyon were easily one of the best tag teams in the latter years of WCW, and we all know how good Judgment Day continues to be. It’s a tough call, but who better than Kanyon? Nobody! Kanyon and DDP, with a little outside assist from Bam Bam Bigelow, get the win.
Bayley is distraught and doesn’t know what’s next for her. What do you think is next for Bayley?
We’ll see Bayley at SummerSlam in some way, shape, or form. And the winner of Lyra versus Becky will have a challenger waiting. Or given the stipulations for the match, anything goes, maybe a strong ally? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Two El Grande Americanos?Thoughts?
The story builds, and the suspense continues. By the way, spoiler alert. The second El Grande Americano is allegedly Pete Dunne. But who knows? Everyone thinks the current masked Luchador is Ludwig Kaiser, and that the original was Chad Gable, but how can one masked man be three people? Plus, Kaiser is German, while Dunne is from the UK. And Gable is American. How can any of those men be a Mexican Luchador? The mystery continues to grow.
