Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Tony Khan says TNT and TBS have always been and continue to be very supportive of the blood and violence in AEW. Thoughts?

I seem to remember something about Joey Janela and a Domino’s commercial that made a few higher-ups at TBS nervous a couple of years ago. Tony might believe this, but if the wrong person notices at WBD, AEW will suffer the consequences. I doubt that everything is as great as Tony seems to believe.

Brooke Hogan claims that WWE didn’t invite her to any of the tributes for Hulk Hogan. Thoughts?

Brooke has been estranged from both of her parents for years, so why would WWE think that she would be interested? Since that TNA run, Brooke hasn’t had a good relationship with pro wrestling. If they had asked, would she have even attended? I doubt it.

According to Tony Khan, the All In Women’s Gauntlet injured 25% of the AEW Women’s roster, and that’s forced him to put plans for the Women’s Tag Team Championship on hold. Thoughts?

How thin is the roster if one match can cripple the entire division that much? The AEW Women’s roster has essentially three stars, Mercedes, Toni, and Athena, and a bunch of filler talents. So far as the tag team titles go, why does AEW need more belts? AEW is a mess, and this just proves it.

If you were to take over AEW or WWE. What would be the first thing that you do?

I’d take a look at the rosters and, with the creative teams, go down the list and figure out where everyone is headed and what direction we want to take each character. Make cuts where necessary, plus raid the Indies for new talents and free agents, to make the companies stronger.

Do you ever see Drew McIntyre getting another world title run?

Drew is a made man in the WWE, and I see many more title belts in his wrestling future.

Do you think WWE made the right call turning SummerSlam into a two-night event?

I do. SummerSlam has long been the Number Two promotion for WWE, and aside from Mania, it’s the only show big enough and important enough to qualify for the two-night treatment. It adds to the event and will make major money for the WWE. I think it’s a good move.

Do you think Vince McMahon should stop driving for good after everything that’s come out?

Vince is 79 years old and a billionaire. I think he can afford a driver. He should look into that and give up his license.

Ken Patera versus Rusev. Who wins?

Rusev might crush, but once Patera locked in that swinging full nelson, Rusev would go down to defeat. Patera wins.

Would you have wanted to see Carlito transition into a manager or commentator role in WWE?

Carlito, as a Spanish commentator, would be an excellent career move. He was doing a managerial role with Judgment Day. He rarely wrestled, but instead, worked ringside and took bumps. A full-time switch to a ringside role wouldn’t have been a major switch. WWE dropped the ball with Carlito. That wasn’t cool.

Do you agree with Triple H’s take that the women are developing faster and smarter than the men in WWE?

Hunter is 100% on this one. Look at the recent call-ups to the main roster. Hell, look at NXT. The women are the best talents and are killing it. They’re taking over the WWE.

Tony Khan wants to potentially bring back AEW Dark. Would you be interested in seeing the return of the YouTube series?

It would give AEW more TV for the talents to wrestle, and more repetition, which is badly needed. The last thing that Tony Khan needs is another show to seemingly book, but AEW Dark has mainly been a compilation show of random matches. It serves a purpose. I’d like to see it back.
