Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Can you do star ratings for SummerSlam, Night One?

I can, but why? That gimmick belongs to Uncle Dave, and if I did do star ratings, he’d probably stammer, tell me I’m wrong because I didn’t read the Observer, and block me. And I wouldn’t want to do all that, would I? Okay, let’s do this. Roman & Jey Uso versus Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed – 4 stars. Judgment Day versus Charlotte & Alexa – 3.50 stars. Tiffany versus Jade – 3 stars. Sami versus Karrion – 3.75 stars. Randy & Jelly versus Logan & Drew – 4.25 stars. Punk versus Gunther – 5 stars.

With Dustin Rhodes out of action, how should AEW/ROH handle the ROH Tag Team Championship and Trios Championship titles, of which he is a co-holder, with Sammy Guevara on the first, and the Von Erichs on the second? Strip the titles, allow a substitute, or what?

AEW and ROH are funny about titles. Sometimes, they strip the belts. Other times, they appoint interim champions. There is no consistency or set method of dealing with injured champions. Tournaments are always an option, but that isn’t fair to the co-holders of the belts who aren’t injured. My suggestion would be to allow Sammy and the Von Erichs to pick a new partner to be champion while Dustin is out of action. Hell, Sammy can join the Von Erichs as the Trios Champions, while one of the Von Erichs can join Sammy as half of the ROH Tag Team Champs. Makes sense to me.

Do you think WWE is giving up on Jade Cargill’s main event push too soon? Or is this just part of the build?

Jade has gotten better since coming to WWE, but she seems to have hit a bump in the road, and her progress has stopped. She’s better than she was, and still looks like a million bucks, but compared to the majority of talent on the roster, she still looks third-rate. I might be wrong, but she isn’t going to make it as a top singles talent. Better to focus on the talent that has the skills, and let Jade work as a tag team wrestler or special attraction, so the flaws can be hidden.

At Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s “Powder Keg” event on Friday, a fire spot went wrong, and Indy wrestler John Wayne Murdoch ended up being set on fire and horribly burned. The match was stopped, and Murdoch was rushed to the hospital to be treated for serious burns. Thoughts?

I’ll show a video of the incident. Murdoch is a hardcore wrestler and allegedly does this kind of thing regularly, constantly playing with fate. Well, karma can be a bitch sometimes, and if you play with fire, you’re going to eventually get burned. I hope the bottle of Faygo, the hot dog, and twenty bucks were worth it.

If Vince McMahon reached out to WWE/TKO to be part of the tribute to Hulk Hogan, as in standing on the stage like Eric Bischoff, Brian Blair, etc., do you think WWE /TKO would have allowed it?

Vince is considered toxic right now, and I doubt TKO would want or allow him to appear at any of their shows.

How about Brutus Beefcake? Or Bubba the Love Sponge? Would WWE/TKO have allowed them?

Look at what I said about Vince. Given their recent histories, I doubt either Brutus or Bubba would be welcome at any WWE event.

Nikita Koloff versus Stan Hansen. Who wins?

The Russian Sickle versus The Lariat. My neck hurts just thinking about it. Both men worked stiffly, and this would be a brawl for the ages. Who wins depends on where they’re at. In the Mid-Atlantic, Nikita would win. Anywhere else, Hansen would win. But most likely, it would be a double-DQ or no-contest finish.

Cody Rhodes recently spoke on how he felt disrespected in AEW and wouldn’t stand for it. So, who do you think disrespected him?

Cody has spoken well of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, so that leaves only one name, right? He’s probably checking that NDA right now to make sure that Cody doesn’t say too much. After all, he’s everyone’s friend, right?

Did you ever attend a wrestling match at The Omni?

I live in North Carolina, so unfortunately, the Omni has never been one of my wrestling destinations. But I’ve been to Fayetteville, Charlotte, Greensboro, and the Dorton Arena in Raleigh many times.

Paul Jones, Masked Superstar, and Baron Von Raschke w/ Gene Anderson versus Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed w/ Paul Heyman. Who wins?

An interesting note here. Paul Jones and Masked Superstar are 2X NWA World Tag Team Champions, as are Jones and Raschke. So these men would be used to working together. But against Seth and friends, would that be enough? I think Gene Anderson would be the difference maker. Gene goes after Heyman, Seth and Breakker go after Gene, and Superstar catches Reed with the clothesline and cobra. Jones, Superstar, and Von Raschke win.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
