Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Brooke Hogan phoned into Bubba the Love Sponge’s show, talking about medical scandals, Hogan’s marriage, Hogan’s business dealings, etc. Does this validate and redeem Bubba? What are your thoughts on Brooke’s comments?

Brooke aired all the dirty laundry on the day of Hulk’s funeral, a funeral she didn’t even attend, and with Bubba of all people. For someone who hasn’t, by her own admission, spoken to her dad in over two years, she sure had plenty to say. I thought she was the smart, stand-up member of her family. Now, I see that the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree, and Linda Hogan is her mother. The best thing she could have done was just shut up and mourn. Instead, she’s showing her true colors.

What are your thoughts on Becky Lynch’s comments towards Nikki Bella about her failed relationship with John Cena?

I was expecting Becky to go with a cheap comment, but I was expecting something more recent, like her recent divorce and having to pay her ex money and child support. But they played it safe with the reference to Nikki’s failed relationship with Cena. And it worked.

The official name for Seth Rollins’ faction, featuring Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and “The Oracle” Paul Heyman, is The Vision. Thoughts?

The name is lame, but since Seth is called The Visionary, I guess it makes sense.

Gunther is out of action indefinitely due to injuries. What’s next for the Ring General when he returns to action?

I expect that Gunther will go after Seth and the World Championship, and then, as we get closer to Mania, we’ll get some tension and a program against Brock Lesnar.

Would you like to see Becky join Seth Rollins’ Vision faction?

It makes sense and would add to the faction. I’d like to see it happen.

What comes to mind when you think of Dean Malenko?

With Dean, I remember a good wrestler who wasn’t charismatic, but made that into his gimmick, and it worked. Malenko could tell the story with just a cold facial expression and some great in-ring action. So far as pure wrestlers go, Malenko was easily one of the best of his era. He was the utility worker who could make anyone look like a star—a true icon.

Is Sami Zayn World Champion material?

He might be, but I honestly don’t see it. A mid-card wrestler, the every-man wrestler, yes. But the top guy? No, I don’t think so.

Who was the first masked wrestler you ever saw live?

I don’t know. I’ve been going to live shows since I was 5 years old, and most of those early days are a big blur. The first one I remember would be Sweet Ebony Diamond, aka Rocky Johnson, versus Greg Valentine in Bennetsville, SC. I saw many before then, and many in the years that followed, but Diamond was the first one I can actually remember and name.

What is your Mt. Rushmore of wrestling feuds?

Ole Anderson versus Dusty Rhodes, Bruno Sammartino versus Larry Zbyszko, Steve Austin versus Vince McMahon, and Jimmy Valiant versus Paul Jones.

The Rock & Roll Express versus Jimmy & Jey Uso. Who wins?

With both teams in their primes, this would be a great match. The Usos are great, but rock & roll is king. Ricky and Robert would get the win.
