Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

How would you rank SummerSlam, Night 2, on a scale of 1-10?

The show was damn good, a little extreme, and totally rocked. I’ll give it an 8.5.

What are your star ratings for each match of SummerSlam, Night 2?

I’ll do a quick rating for each match. Uncle Dave, this is for you. For the opener of Rhea versus Iyo versus Naomi, I’ll give it 4.5 stars… and the right person won. The 6-team TLC match, 4 stars. Becky versus Lyra gets 3.5 stars. Solo versus Jacob Fatu in the cage, 3.5 stars. Dominik Mysterio versus AJ Styles, 4.5 stars. Cody Rhodes versus Cena, 5 stars, and the return of Brock Lesnar, 5 stars.

Cody is the new WWE Champion. Thoughts?

It had to be done. The whole Cena heel run was a disaster, and WWE needed a major reboot. Cody was the best option available.

Brock Lesnar is back. Thoughts?

Hell yeah! I’m glad to see this. It’s long overdue, and once we finish the Brock/Cena story, we can finally get some dream matches with Brock versus Breakker and Brock versus Gunther. The next few months should be very interesting.

What’s your take on this TLC match? Where does it rank in the list of great TLC matches throughout WWE history?

That match was wild and insane, and I’m sure every person involved in that match is probably still hurting three days later. The match was crazy, but it went as I expected, and I enjoyed it.

What is the purpose of JC Mateo?

He’s big and he looks mean. Other than that, I don’t get it either.

Dominik beat AJ Styles by himself to retain the IC title. Right call or not?

It took some sneakiness and Eddie-like moves, but it was fun to watch. AJ wasn’t hurt in the slightest, but Dom looked strong as a heel, and it’s amazing to watch him improve, both in the ring and as a character with every appearance. It was definitely the right call.

Bob Holly commented on X: “That was a heck of a SummerSlam main event. Cena and Cody left it all in the ring. I may have to come back and get that title off Cody…. I owe him one.” Would you like to see Holly come back for a one-night return and fight Cody?

If Holly is still in great shape and can go, do it. For a one-off, it would make for a good story and be a nice moment for the WWE fans. It’s so out of nowhere, it would make for some great television. If Holly is able, WWE should do it.

WWE has cancelled the post-PLE press conferences. Why?

The only reason that WWE was even doing those post-show events was because AEW was doing them first. They were boring, awkward, and served no purpose, plus the fake press was asking real questions. No one wants to deal with all that, so WWE pulled the plug. Do you blame them? I don’t.

You have a road trip of 300 miles. You have either Vince McMahon or Harley Race driving. Which one are you riding with?

The stories of Harley’s high-speed escapades are legendary, but Vince’s driving had both Jim Cornette and Jim Ross refusing to ride with him. Either way, I’d hope to be drugged up enough to sleep through the entire ride. But hell, I did a 400-mile trip with Mike Youngblood once. Comparably, neither Harley nor Vince would scare me much. But, of the two, I’d rather ride with Harley.
