Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Unscripted Promo Battle. Who wins? Steve Austin, MJF, The Rock, Kevin Owens, CM Punk, or John Cena?
It’s a hard call here, but from best to worst, I’d say CM Punk, Steve Austin, Kevin Owens, The Rock, John Cena, and finally MJF.
If Karrion Kross doesn’t end up re-signing with WWE, what promotion would you like to see him sign with?
AEW. They’d pay the most money, and he’d get an immediate push to the main events.
Bret Hart on current wrestlers: “They’d all be a lot better off if they copied me more”. Thoughts?
In regard to in-ring performance and work, Bret is right, and he’d be an excellent role model. As far as bitterness and holding a grudge go, probably not so much.
Should WWE do a multi-man tournament to find John Cena’s final opponent?
That’s an interesting concept and idea. I like it, but it’s too AEW gimmicky to work well with the WWE audience. A great idea, but I don’t think it’d go over very well.
Would a small studio wrestling show, weekly with maybe 200 fans, work in today’s environment?
With the right talent, booking, and promotion, it could work, but it wouldn’t be easy. Fans today are too used to the big arena shows and large crowds. The wrestling and character would have to be extra special to compete against the bigger-is-better attitude that is so relevant now.
At the beginning of the year, WWE declared that they are all about stories and storytelling. How would you rate their 2025 so far in that regard?
So far, so good. More hits than misses. They’re not great, but they’re far exceeding the opposition.
Do you want to see Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan begin feuding once Morgan returns?
It has to happen, with a Dominik on the pole match for custody of Dirty Dom. Yes, I want to see it.
Ric Flair says that if his health ever crashes again, he’ll only stay on life support for two weeks maximum. Thoughts?
Unless he has it written down in a legal will, I think that decision will be up to the family and doctors. Ric is just talking to make noise and get some attention.
Who’s the perfect man to retire Brock Lesnar?
Didn’t I just answer this? The best options, in my opinion, would be either Bron Breakker or Gunther.
Who in wrestling media has talent? Are they good at the job? Do they present solid content and engage the fan base with decorum?
Mike Johnson, of PWInsider, and Chris Van Vliet are the names that immediately come to mind.
Boxer versus Wrestler: Muhammad Ali versus Vader. Who wins?
It would depend on the rules for the fight and what is or isn’t allowed. If Vader is allowed to wrestle and can get hold of Ali, trapping him on the mat, Vader might have a chance, but otherwise, Ali would strike and move and let the much heavier Vader to blow up and wear himself out. Most likely, Ali would win.
