Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
What’s the first name that comes to mind when you see the AEW World Championship?
MJF immediately comes to mind. His run, with the Triple B, as he called it, was a rare bright spot in the AEW legacy.
Would you like to see Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano challenge for the AAA Tag Team Championship?
Sure. Why the hell not? And Dom & Americano versus Los Garza, aka Berto & Angel, would be a very good match.
If Kevin Hart were to wrestle a match in WWE, who would be the perfect opponent for the comedian/actor?
They’d have to bring back Hornswoggle for this one, or maybe Gillberg.
Rusev versus Nikolai Volkoff. Who wins?
Nikolai was a tough old dude, but in this match, the results would be Rusev Crush!
What are your thoughts and memories of Ronnie Garvin?
I was never a big Garvin fan, but the man was a good worker, played the tough guy very well, and never had a bad match. That slow, methodical style was never fancy, but it worked. A good mid-card talent who was believable in nearly every role he played.
Konnan isn’t calling Triple Mania; JBL instead is. Are you cool with that decision?
I’m cool with that. JBL is an excellent commentator and should mesh well with Corey Graves in calling the action. And Konnan has other priorities that night, being inducted by Rey Mysterio into the AAA Hall of Fame. I’m sure he has no objections about JBL stepping in at the Announce table.
R Truth versus Rufus R. “Freight Train” Jones. Who wins?
The fans, because the comedy would be amazing. Killings, aka R Truth, would win the match, but it wouldn’t matter. The ending would take a backseat to the funny stuff.
Do you think Lola Vice should stay in NXT to dominate the division, or is it time for her to make the leap to WWE’s main roster?
Right now, with Liv out of action and possibly Naomi, there’s a spot available on RAW. I’m somewhat afraid that she’ll be lost in the shuffle of the well-stacked roster, but since she’s already having issues with Judgment Day, a move to Monday nights might be a good thing.
WWE is planning a new PLE to run opposite AEW All-Out. Thoughts?
And the rumor I’ve been hearing is a possible John Cena versus Brock Lesnar main event. It’s not confirmed, but it’s obvious WWE is determined to make sure that AEW stays in its place. AEW wanted a war? Well, it seems as if they’ve got one.
