Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

John Cena says that his final opponent will be whoever WWE chooses, and he’s fine with that. Who would you choose for Cena’s last match?

I don’t really have a preference. I would guess someone with a huge upside and a big future for WWE. Drew McIntyre, perhaps, or maybe Ethan Page?

AEW Forbidden Door will have a strict time limit in London, and will only be able to run 4 1/2 hours maximum, with an end-time of 10:30 pm. Can AEW do it? Thoughts?

This will be a major test for AEW. They love to go long with PPVs, drawn-out matches, and little control or structure, but at this event, the timing will have to be adhered to, and there is little room for error. I expect matches will be shorter than usual, rushed, and the whole event will feel more chaotic than usual. It should be interesting to watch.

R-Truth says his serious character is gone for good. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t say gone for good, but used only as needed. Truth knows what brought him to the dance and what the WWE fans want. He’s just making sure to oblige them.

You can bring one back: World Class Championship Wrestling, American Wrestling Association (AWA), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), or Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). Which one are you choosing?

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for the AWA, and even though it may have a harder time being accepted by today’s fans, I feel it would have the best chance of being reinvented and succeeding. WCW, ECW, and World Class all have high standards and legacies attached that would be hard to overcome. AWA, not quite so much.

Former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta, who is connected to WWE parent company TKO, is said to be interested in buying TNA. Thoughts?

And TNA remains independent to a point, but still under the TKO umbrella. That sounds like a plan to me.

Ace Austin is All Elite. Thoughts?

And within six weeks, we’ll be going, “Who?”, as he’s locked either in a meaningless feud with Daniel Garcia, or teaming with Speedball Bailey against the Ass Boys. At least he should collect a good paycheck out of this, but aside from that, I don’t see how it matters or has any real importance.

In a recent interview, Matt Riddle claimed that Seth Rollins put restrictions on his promos. He also said that Bill Goldberg is dangerous and that CM Punk’s best days are behind him. Thoughts?

It seems as if Riddle is just trying to get some attention and burn a few bridges, as any hopes of ever returning to WWE slip farther and farther away. Riddle has never wrestled CM Punk or Bill Goldberg, but he’s speaking like he’s an expert on both men. Riddle just needs to sTFU and focus on his OnlyFans and wrestling career. He’s not doing himself any favors.

Do you think Hook signing in with AEW for the long term was best for business, or should he have made the WWE NXT move?

I’m sure Hook got a good deal, probably far more than WWE would be willing to pay. And given his lack of in-ring improvement over the past few years, I wonder if NXT would even have any use or place for him. He’s been wrestling in AEW for 3 1/2 years, and he has so little to show for it. Even the WWE Evolve talents and LFG wrestlers are better. Yeah, Hook is probably better off with AEW.

Torrie Wilson says Sable absolutely belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame. Is Torrie right?

Sable belongs there more than Torrie does, or Michelle McCool does. Sable was never a great wrestler, but she was right time, right place, and made a huge impact in WWE. She’ll never be my favorite person, but she has earned a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

You can start a podcast with any wrestler in history, past or present. Who would your podcasting partner be? And who would your first guest be?

My podcasting partner would be the man himself, Brian Adams, aka Krush. And the first guest? Bryan Clark. As for why, he’s BA’s best friend, and it’s all about Kronik!

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
