Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Has there ever been a wrestling podcast that’s been improved when the wrestler’s wife becomes part of it?
Podcasting hasn’t really been around very long, but I sure as hell can’t think of any that have improved with the addition of a spouse.
What are your current thoughts on ‘THE VISION’ stable?
A very talented group of wrestlers, a little bit overexposed, but something is missing. But they have the potential to be an all-time top faction.
What happened to Pretty Deadly?
One of them, and I’m not sure which one, is currently out with an injury. Thus, both men are sitting at home, waiting for a recovery and medical clearance.
Now that the women’s world title is vacated, who should be the next champion?
Of the current roster, I’d like to see Raquel Rodriguez have a run with the title. I’m not sure how to get there, but she is my favorite option currently on the RAW roster. And if not Raquel, then go with Asuka. No one is ready for Asuka.
Thoughts on Naomi’s announcement about being pregnant?
I am happy for Naomi and Jimmy Uso. This is great news, and I’m sure they’ll make great parents.
The Hollywood Reporter has ranked Batista as the greatest wrestler turned actor. Are they right?
Batista is a good actor, but the greatest wrestler turned actor? It’s all subjective and opinion, and I’m sure The Miz, Jesse Ventura, Becky Lynch, Hulk Hogan, and probably 98% of the actors-turned-wrestlers would disagree.
Travis Heckel was fired from the Jim Cornette podcast for Twitter posts about Joe Biden. Thoughts?
Cornette has a great mind for wrestling, but when it comes to political views, he tends to be a bit extreme. Heckel has differing political views, and Cornette can’t handle it, so Heckel is out of a job. It’s crazy, but it’s how things tend to go these days. I feel for Heckel, but he’ll be okay. And I love Cornette as a wrestling personality, but he’s a whack-job at times when it comes to politics.
Who’s the greatest black female wrestler of all time?
What does being black have to do with it? Skin color or race shouldn’t matter. It should be who’s the greatest wrestler, period. But, if we’re going there, the best female wrestler, who happens to be black, I’ll go with Bianca Belair. That woman is a superstar.
Paul Heyman: “In the name of the late, great Tommy Dreamer. I know he’s not dead yet, but he should be!” What are your thoughts on Heyman’s shot at Dreamer during his promo on RAW?
Paul was making a rib on Dreamer, and since then, Dreamer has responded that he’s cool with it. It had him trending on X.
Danhausen’s AEW deal was extended due to injury time. But AEW still has no plans to use him. Thoughts?
Tony Khan is just throwing away money for whatever reason, most likely to keep Danhausen away from WWE, and thus, even though he’s not being used, he remains under contract. Luckily, Danhausen can do lots of Indies, plus has a strong following with merchandise. It makes no sense, but it’s AEW and Tony being Tony.
