Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Who’s the first person that comes to mind when you think of WrestleMania?

Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, and Liberace, all from WrestleMania I.

Does FTR have genuine heat or go-away heat?

Considering how much they’ve declined since originally coming to AEW, I think it’s the latter. They used to be one of the best tag teams in modern wrestling, and now, they’re just going through the motions and wrestling by the numbers. They need a long break and a major reboot.

Jordynne Grace says she texts Gail Kim at least once a week to attempt to convince her to return to WWE. Would you like to see Kim return to WWE?

While I don’t really want to see Gail trying to wrestle full-time or being shoehorned into a feud she’s not capable of, like Nikki Bella currently is trying to do, I’d love to see her as a producer or trainer. She has so much still left to offer and would be excellent in either of those roles.

Eddie Kingston versus Taz. Who wins?

Kingston talks a good show, but Taz would choke him out after about ten minutes to win the match.

Do you think AEW can land a big streaming deal and lock down its future? Or is it already being outpaced by the giants of the industry?

AEW seems tied at the hip with Warner Bros. Discovery, and all of the major streaming opportunities seem to be passing them by and entering into partnerships with WWE instead. If AEW could find a streaming deal that mattered, don’t you think ROH would have a TV or streaming home? I think that, unless a miracle happens, AEW’s future is looking bleak.

Do you think WWE is missing out by not trying to sign Toni Storm—or is she better off staying in AEW?

Toni Storm wouldn’t be able to be Timeless in WWE, and would just be another face in the crowd. She’s better off with AEW.

Terry Funk versus Bronson Reed. Who wins?

The Tribal Thief is a major star and has a great future ahead of him, but he’s not beating The Funker. Terry Funk wins.

During a recent interview, Jordynne Grace confirmed that after suffering two strokes, Jonathan Gresham is at 100% and cleared for everything, but in-ring competition. Thoughts?

If he’s not cleared for in-ring competition, he’s not 100%. I’m glad that the strokes weren’t as bad as they could have been, and Gresham is doing better. Best wishes for a full recovery.

Matt Hardy recently said that The Hardys and The Dudleys are the “top two tag teams of all time”. Thoughts?

That’s his opinion, and he’s entitled to it, but I think The Road Warriors, the Midnight Express, The Rock & Roll Express, Tully & Arn, Ole & Gene Anderson, and many others might not agree.

Does Sapphire (Juanita Wright) belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

As a main-stage inductee, I wouldn’t think so, but as a Legacy Inductee, I can absolutely see that happening. And for her very memorable time in WWE with Dusty Rhodes, she deserves the honor.
