Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

So, it seems that Sammy Guevara has replaced Dustin Rhodes as part of the ROH Trios Champions, partnering with the Von Erichs. Does this mean one of the Von Erichs will be teaming with Sammy as the ROH Tag Team Champions?

It sure seems that way. It makes the most sense.

Do you think AEW will deliver on its promise of an “epic” event when they return to Australia?

They’ll deliver a card with fifteen matches, a few true stories, and a complete clusterfuck, as always.

Do you think Mercedes Moné has the potential to rival John Cena in Hollywood?

I don’t think that Cena has anything to worry about.

Do you think Roxanne Perez is on her way to being the face of WWE’s women’s division?

One of the top women in WWE? Most definitely.

Do you agree with Mercedes Moné that AEW is “taking over,” or do you think she’s overconfident?

I think she’s spouting the company lines and saying what Tony Khan wants her to say, regardless of whether there’s any truth to it at all. And there isn’t. The actual facts don’t back up her claims.

Jim Ross’s AEW contract expires at the end of this month, and there are rumors that Ross wants to finish his career in WWE. Thoughts?

Ross should focus on his health and getting better rather than worrying about where he will end up announcing. But WWE could easily find a role for Jim Ross as part of their announcing team, possibly similar to Jesse Ventura at SNME, if that’s what he wants to do. Ross is a wrestling legend and should be able to do as he wants.

Bayley says she wants to attend Athena’s ‘Who Runs the World 2’ All-Women’s event. Thoughts?

Bayley attended several events in Japan in support of Mercedes Mone, plus attended TNA events in support of Naomi. So long as she’s not on camera, I think WWE would allow it.

Keith Lee versus Terry Funk. Who wins?

Keith Lee is a big dude, but he’s not beating The Funker. Terry Funk wins.

Dirty Dominik Mysterio as a WWE World Heavyweight Champion? Yah or Nah?

Not at the moment, but sometime in the future, after he bulks up a little more and gains more experience, I can see Dom as a strong heel champion.

Do you think WWE’s strategy of raising prices is hurting its own momentum—or will fans always show up in the end?

It’s certainly driving some fans away. I know because I’m going to be one of them once the PLEs switch to ESPN. I’m not paying an additional thirty bucks a month for an app I’ll only watch once a month. I’ll follow the events online and watch the clips on YouTube instead. And if I’m feeling this way, I know that others are as well.

Odyssey Jones says WWE mishandled his release after domestic violence allegations. Is Jones right?

According to Jones, this wasn’t his wife who made the allegations, but his side-chick. And he went on to claim that she was just mad and refused to show up in court. So, he’s admitting to cheating, but that’s okay. This happened during the WWE-TKO merger, and a major name is accused of domestic violence. What were they supposed to do? They are publicly traded and can’t risk the bad publicity. TKO did the right thing.
