It was a cool moment for the fans of ECW, a nice flashback and piece of nostalgia that nobody expected, and cool for the Meanie too, as he’s noted on X. It made me smile.

Do you think Nick Hogan will succeed in carrying on Hulk Hogan’s wrestling legacy through Real American Freestyle Wrestling?

Nick is on RAFW as the representative of the Commissioner, Hulk Hogan, who sadly passed away last month. It’s a nice way to keep the Hogan name as part of the promotion, and it’s good to see Nick stepping up. I’m interested in seeing how this goes.

Due to streaming issues, Tony Khan aired ROH Death Before Dishonor live on YouTube. Thoughts?

Though it allegedly costs Tony a huge amount of money, he can afford it, and this allowed ROH to reach fans that otherwise wouldn’t watch or care. It looks bad, but I think it worked out for the better for AEW/ROH.

Ricky Saints versus Ricochet. Who wins?

If AEW is booking, Ric wins. If NXT is booking, Saints gets the win. And if I’m booking, the win goes to Saints as well. It’d be a damn good match and fun to see, but I think Saints has the bigger future and career ahead of him.

Do you think Travis Kelce should join AEW once his football career is over?

I think he should stay home with the singer chick, have a family, and be happy. I have no desire to see Taylor-Mania invade wrestling. It’s annoying enough with the NFL garbage.

Do you think more WWE stars should distance themselves from Vince McMahon, given the controversy?

I think Vince and many of the people at WWE have friendships and relationships that go back many years. You don’t dump your friends when they’re going through a rough patch, or what does that say about you? Damn the controversy. If they’re friends, be a friend. Otherwise, who needs you?

What is your favorite wrestling championship belt?

Two belts come to mind. The original Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling title belt, and the red & silver NWA World Television Championship title belt. I’d love to have that Mid-Atlantic title hanging on my wall.

Sammy Guevara has joined Rush and turned on the Von Erich boys. Thoughts?

Sammy has always been a better heel than a babyface. He has that face that you just want to punch. Sammy & Rush? It’s not a team that I would have predicted, but maybe there is something there. A feud with the Von Erichs should be fun to see.

Billy Corgan wants you to reboot and book the NWA. You can bring in any ten people you want, wrestlers, managers, announcers, etc., and terminate any five you’d like. You’re the boss. What changes are you making?

The first thing I’d like to do is give the studio and promotion a total makeover. A regular home, like Full Sail University was for NXT, or the Asylum was for TNA. Keep some of the nostalgic design elements, but bring the NWA into the 21st century. So, the first hire would be a good television producer who knows wrestling and TV, and can help blend the two in a watchable manner. I’m not listing any names because I don’t know who’s available, but I’d try to find someone. The announcers are next. Joe Galli and Danny Dealz are okay, but boring. New announcers with Kevin Kelly, Buff Bagwell, and Lisa “Ivory” Moretti. That’s four. And the remaining six of my new talents? Ethan Storm is the head of creative/booker. And wrestlers? Joe Hennig, Shotzi, Heath Slater, Sammy Love, and Tripp Cautious. As for who gets the boot, let’s go with Father James Mitchell, May Valentine, Slade, Talos, and Tommy Rant. I’d want to evaluate the entire roster, top to bottom, to determine who stays and who goes, but that’s just off the top of my head.
