Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

The Street Profits apparently are breaking up. Good or bad idea?

I don’t like this idea. It’d work better for the short term, but the WWE roster is so loaded right now that both men would, in my opinion, end up being lost in the shuffle that is WWE, and once the shock of their breakup and consequent feud is over, what’s next? I’d rather see them tease a breakup, but pull together in the end and focus on being a great tag team. Maybe a run in NXT, a few AAA matches, and some crossovers with TNA would help freshen up the characters, but I think the tag team is what works best for both men.

After Becky Lynch interfered to cost CM Punk a win and help Seth retain the World Championship, fans and even WWE commentators are speculating about AJ Lee possibly returning to WWE. Thoughts?

It’s not speculation. WWE Shop accidentally confirmed it. AJ Lee will be back, possibly as soon as this upcoming Friday on SmackDown. The only real questions are how she’ll make her return and what WWE will do to set up the match between AJ & Punk versus Becky & Seth at WrestlePalooza.

How would you rate WWE Clash in Paris on a scale of 1-10?

The show was damn good and rocked. I’d give it an 8.0.

So, what’s next for Sheamus and Rusev?

I’d like to see them used as a tag team, much like Sheamus and Cesaro were used in the past as The Bar. But, I expect both men in some meaningless feuds first, maybe against Otis for Rusev, while Sheamus fights Gunther when he returns.

The Missing Link versus Luchasaurus. Who wins?

Two guys known for being different and unique, this match would be a true Yabba Dabba Doo time. I think Dewey Robertson, aka The Missing Link, would win.

On this day in 1997, Arn Anderson retired and gave Curt Hennig his “spot” in the Horsemen. Was the turn that followed the right move for Hennig, or should he have stayed with the Horsemen?

After turning on The Horsemen, Hennig bowed down to Hogan, joined the nWo, and was used as an afterthought, part-time player. With the Horsemen, he would have been a featured name and would have had many more opportunities. Curt should have stayed with The Horsemen. That would have been the perfect move.

Seth Rollins versus CM Punk. Too long, or is there still more to tell?

With the addition of Becky Lynch and AJ Lee to the mix, the doors continue to open. This is much like Dusty and The Horsemen, Cornette and the Rock & Roll Express, Valiant versus Paul Jones. It’ll never truly end, nor should it. There are many more stories left to tell, and many chapters left to read.

Do you agree with Ryback that age shouldn’t matter in wrestling, or do you think WWE should prioritize younger talent in main events?

I hate to agree with Ryback on anything, but he’s right. It’s the skills, the characters, the ability that matter, and not necessarily the age of the wrestlers. Push the ones who have the talent, the abilities, and draw the fans, while developing the others to take those spots someday.

Kurt Angle recently appeared on a podcast and, when asked about one more match, said he can’t because he needs both shoulders replaced. Thoughts?

I knew Kurt was in rough shape, but I didn’t know it was that bad. Forget about matches. Kurt should only be focused on getting healthy and living the best, hopefully painless, life possible. Best of luck to our Olympic Hero.
