Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host and Guiding Light. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Remember the Heroes of Wrestling PPV? If you were booking a Heroes of Wrestling 2025 PPV, what matches (8 matches) would you feature on the event?

I remember that PPV very well. My memory is forever scarred. But a modern-day reboot? That show is beyond redemption, but I’ll try. For my announcers, I’d dig up Chris Cruise and Marcus Alexander Bagwell. And the matches? How about an opener of Alan Angel & KJ Orso versus The Rock & Roll Express? Danhausen versus Heath Slater. Karrion Kross w/ Scarlett versus Braun Strowman. Saraya versus Shayna Baszler. Elayna Black versus Gigi Dolan. Carlito, Chris Masters & Rhino versus Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang). Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) versus Matt Cardona. Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal) versus Trevor Lee. There you go. That’s 8, right? Corbin and Cardona would be the main event.

There are rumors afloat that the WWE is interested in The Righteous. Thoughts?

Vincent and Dutch, aka The Righteous, showed up for a brief run in AEW/ROH, but as happens quite often, vanished quickly despite getting over with the fans and audience. They’re a talented team and have an impressive aura about them. Between WWE, NXT, and AAA, I think they’d do really well under the TKO Umbrella. WWE should absolutely give them a look.

Roman Reigns’ deal with WWE allegedly expires after WrestleMania 42. Does Roman stay with WWE, sign a part-time deal, go to Hollywood, or what?

I would think that Roman will stay with WWE under a very lucrative part-time contract, while taking the occasional roles in Hollyweird when offered. The best of both worlds for our Tribal Chief. Makes sense to me.

Do you think WWE’s move from Peacock to ESPN will be a game-changer for fans? Or will you miss the Peacock era of WWE streaming?

It will be a game-changer as a lot of loyal, diehard fans will finally say screw it and quit watching the PLEs and giving WWE their time and money. I’ll miss Peacock, but I won’t be going to ESPN either.

Do you think WWE’s first PLE on ESPN will live up to the hype?

They’re going to stack the show and make sure it’s a good one. It’ll live up to the hype. I most likely won’t be watching, though.

Do you think Tony Khan hasn’t done enough to earn respect from AEW talent?

Tony is a goof and a money mark. He doesn’t get respect because he hasn’t earned it. Toniy is a good guy and a friend, not a boss, and it’s obvious to everyone who deals with him. Respect is earned, and Tony hasn’t earned it.

Everyone seems to be loving Ludwig Kaiser’s run as El Grande Americano. So, where does this leave Chad Gable when he returns from injuries?

Maybe we’ll have a tag team of El Grande Americano 1 and 2. Maybe we’ll get a feud between the two men who wear the mask of El Grande Americano? I wouldn’t count Gable out yet, and I’m sure that he’ll be just fine.

Ric Flair says that Triple H isn’t using Randy Orton enough. Is Flair right? Thoughts?

Randy is always used in a top spot, and I haven’t heard anyone else besides Ric complain. If Randy isn’t happy, he can talk to Triple H, and they can work out a solution. Ric is just talking to be Ric. Nothing more.

In Puerto Rico, Primo Colon lost a Retirement Match to Ray Gonzalez, so at age 42, Primo is being forced to retire. Thoughts?

It’s wrestling, so what does a retirement match actually mean? Maybe Primo wants to work more behind the scenes? Maybe he’ll come back under a mask? Maybe Primo just wants to get off TV for a while and then come back in another angle. It’s just a wrestling angle, and I doubt there is anything else to this.

The man is basically a walking meme. Why hasn’t WWE done any “Billionaire Tony” skits or parodies about the AEW boss?

WWE did the Billionaire Ted skits because Ted Turner was a threat. Tony Khan is not. And also, what’s the old cliche about people in glass houses? If WWE takes shots at Tony, then Tony can take shots at Vince McMahon, and that wouldn’t be pretty.
