Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Athena has now been the ROH Women’s World Champion for 1000 Days. In that time, she’s made 69 title defenses. Thoughts?

And how many top lady wrestlers has she wrestled during that time? How many defenses are memorable and big events? Athena has been a champion for nearly three years, and it means next to nothing in the big picture of things. It looks good on the resume, but in reality, it means nothing. Athena is an excellent wrestler, but this title run in ROH hasn’t done anything for her.

So, WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson and WWE WrestleMania performer Floyd Mayweather will be boxing against each other next year. Thoughts?

Too bad this didn’t happen ten years ago. Now, it’ll be a likely spectacle of two boxers who used to be stars, and little more. I would have loved to see this happen when both men were in their prime, just to see Tyson knock Floyd out. It’s only an exhibition match, and I’m glad Tyson will make some good money for his efforts, but in general, I have no interest in this at all.

Don Leo Jonathan versus Baron Von Raschke. Who wins?

Baron Von Raschke and Don Leo Jonathan wrestled once that I could find, on January 12, 1972, at a Grand Prix Wrestling event in Montreal. In that match, Jonathan won. But I disagree. In a rematch, the Baron would have a plan, bend a few rules, and use the claw to get the win. If I’m booking it, The Baron wins! And that is all the people need to know!

Record lows for SmackDown, Collision, and Dynamite all this week. What do you attribute that to? Outside factors? Quality?

I expect that SmackDown, with the returns of CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, will have a large rebound. As for the other shows, they sucked, and due to injuries, people were out of action; they’re not getting any better anytime soon. Football has started, and the shows make no sense. The ratings will not get better.

Nikki Bella was upset at comments made by Wade Barrett at Clash in Paris, and claims he avoided her at RAW. Wade denies this. Thoughts?

This has been clarified, and Barrett announced that he and Nikki have spoken and talked things out. It was just a misunderstanding.

Ronda Rousey is complaining that WWE had her wrestle Alexa Bliss because Bliss is a top merchandise seller, calling it ridiculous. Thoughts?

Ronda was a big name, and Alexa was a big draw with tons of merchandise and fans. It’s called common sense and good business, something Ronda seems not to understand.

Who is currently burning more bridges with the WWE? Matt Riddle or Ronda Rousey?

Rousey is pissing off WWE, while Riddle is pissing off everyone. It’s like they compete to see who the bigger dipshit is. I think Riddle is currently in the lead.

According to TMZ Sports, Brooke Hogan will be attending the premiere of Bubba The Love Sponge’s Hulk Hogan documentary in Tampa, Florida, even though her brother Nick is currently suing Bubba over the project. Thoughts?

I’d love to be a fly on the wall for the Hogan family gatherings between Brooke, Nick, Linda, and Sky. Nick seems to be the only one with any sense, and that’s saying something. Just family drama, playing out for all the world to see. Brooke is being a tool, being used by Bubba, and the story continues.

You’re told to put together a ten-man tag team match, with any ten wrestlers you choose, but it’s a comedy match. What ten wrestlers, from any era, are you putting in this match?

Just off the top of my head, I’d go with Santino Marella, Mr.Iguana, R-Truth, Rufus R.Jones, and Danhausen versus Orange Cassidy, Gentleman Jervis, The Hurricane, Jimmy Valiant, and Chelsea Green.

You used to write actual wrestling columns, Tossing Salt and Six Minutes. Now, all you do is Q&As. Why did you stop writing the columns, and will they ever return? And are the questions real?

The columns, Tossing Salt -Worldwide News, Six Minutes, and Tiger Tales, were fun to do, and I had a great time writing them over the years, as well as Wrestling Fact or Fiction. But I’ve changed, and it’s harder to stay focused and concentrate on putting together a column. The Q&As are easy, but the actual full columns are more work and effort than I’m able to do right now. But will they ever return? Never say never. It could happen.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects; that is all people need to know. I’ll see you at the matches.
