Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Roxanne Perez says AJ Lee’s return is the greatest in wrestling history. Thoughts?

And given the back-and-forth that happens regularly with CM Punk and Perez’s partner in Judgment Day, Dom Mysterio, I can see an excellent feud with Perez and Judgment Day versus CM Punk & AJ Lee in the future. We already know about Dom and his ‘deadbeat dad’, so will he influence Perez against her ‘Mom’ too? It’s a future story and money waiting to be made.

Gunther versus Vader. Who wins?

The WCW version of Vader versus Gunther. Damn, what a fight that would be. An instant classic. And the winner? It’s time! It’s time! It’s VADER time.

Who will return to the ring first? Apollo Crews or Tamina Snuka?

Apollo has been spotted working out with Natlaya and TJ Perkins at The Dungeon. Tamina is still listed on the roster and collects a paycheck, but hasn’t wrestled a match since February 27, 2023, when she lost a match to Michin on WWE Main Event. So, we’ll probably see Crews first.

According to Meltzer, WWE is planning to split up the Street Profits after nine years as a team. Thoughts?

I just hope that, if this does happen, WWE already has plans ready; otherwise, we’ll see Ford and Dawkins lost in the shuffle of the loaded roster that is the current WWE. The guys are talented, but the tag team continues to work for them, so why screw it up? To me, The Street Profits are like The Midnight Express, The Road Warriors, or The Rock & Roll Express. They’re a team, and it works. Leave them alone.

If you could bring anybody in or put anybody in a position creatively to help AEW and Tony Khan with the character and storyline development, who would it be?

Cornette wouldn’t take the paycut, and Dutch Mantell’s health isn’t strong enough, so that limits the options. Tony has Jim Ross and Jeff Jarrett on his roster, so why not use those two men to his advantage and benefit? Maybe a committee with Jerry Lynn, Dean Malenko, and Bryan Danielson, all of whom are part of the roster, could help as well. I don’t think it would really matter who you brought in though if Tony isn’t willing to listen, and unless something drastic happens, he’s not.

Christian Cage recently said that his current run in AEW has surpassed everything he’s done before, including WWE and TNA. Thoughts?

WWE wouldn’t let Cage wrestle, and it seemed his career was over, but he’s one of the few who came to AEW and has proven everyone wrong. His career has thrived, and he’s as popular now as ever. And honestly, he’s making more money than ever, with a far lighter schedule. No wonder he’s happy.

Will you be watching WrestlePalooza this year?

Unless someone provides me a link to ESPN+, or I go watch it at someone else’s home, I doubt it. I’ll follow it online as it happens, and probably watch the highlights on YouTube.

Do you want to see Nikki Bella reinvent her character, or would you prefer her to stick with the classic “Fearless Nikki” persona?

Thus far, Nikki’s character and return have sucked. A reboot of her character might help. It surely wouldn’t hurt.

Do you think AJ Styles should end his career in WWE or somewhere else?

Honestly, I think his final match should be in TNA. While Styles has had a great career in WWE, I still see him as a TNA original, and with all the recent crossovers with WWE and TNA, allowing AJ Styles to finish out against a TNA rival at a crossover event just makes more sense to me.

Kevin Nash says that Becky Lynch’s RAW moment, with CM Punk, felt like ‘domestic abuse’. Thoughts?

I’ll have to disagree with Kevin on this one, but the two confrontations with Punk were, in my opinion, some of Becky’s best work in years. Becky was there to be the bitch, and she and Punk played off each other perfectly. Nash might just be overthinking it, but in my opinion, it was well done, and Becky has been killing it.
