Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Is Matt Riddle the new Ryback?

I wouldn’t go that far because, unlike Ryback, Riddle hasn’t blocked me on social media yet. Give him time, though. Riddle is showing himself to be a prick, though.

Do you agree with Bully Ray when he said AEW lacks direction?

I’ve been saying that for years. AEW has no structure, and stories constantly meander on with no end goal or purpose. Everyone does what they want, with no regard to what others are doing, and it’s a chaotic mess on the best of days. AEW lacks a coordinator, booker, or anyone truly in charge.

RAW is adjusting the starting time on Netflix to 7 pm, instead of the usual 8 pm, to counter Monday Night Football. Thoughts?

This makes sense and will probably increase viewership. It surely can’t hurt.

According to Meltzer, Tony Khan rescheduled the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV from its originally announced date of September 5 to an earlier date of August 29 to accommodate and be able to attend MJF’s wedding to Alicia Atout. Thoughts?

So, Tony changed the working schedules of hundreds of people, changed the booking date of an arena, and changed everything involved in the logistics of a million-dollar event because he’s a nice guy and likes weddings? For some reason, I have my doubts about this claim by Meltzer. It’s a nice story, but it doesn’t sound realistic, even for a wrestling mark billionaire wanna-be booker like Tony.

Who would you rather trade wardrobes with? Seth Rollins or Cam Newton?

Neither really has much appeal to me. Despite that one Halloween and those annoying rumors that keep coming up, I’m not a drag queen.

Former WCW talent Chuck Coates passed away. What are your thoughts and memories of Coates?

I couldn’t place the name at first, but a friend, who wrestles, reminded me, and I remember Coates as a talent in WCW. He also worked many independents in Georgia and the Carolinas. I never met the man, but we have many mutual friends, and I’ve been told he was a great guy, fun to be around, insightful, and just a good man. My condolences to the friends and family of this awesome dude.

Sable versus Nikki Bella. Who wins?

Are we talking Nikki from ten years ago or the Nikki we’re seeing now? Sable had her moments, but she was never a good in-ring talent. I feel Nikki would botch a few times, but still manage to get the win.

Who is the first wrestler that comes to mind when you think about the AWA?

Nick Bockwinkel. He was the champ when I first realized that the AWA was a thing, plus he was so smooth in that ring. The perfect gentleman heel.

Who was more believable? Fake Undertaker or fake Sting?

It’s a tough choice because both angles were well done, but I have to go with Taker on this one. Brian Lee was phenomenal in that role.

Should Seth and Becky’s titles be at stake during the tag team match at WrestlePalooza against CM Punk and AJ Lee?

That would be a cool stipulation, but for now, the match doesn’t need that. Maybe, if Punk and AJ win, they can call for a rematch with that added stipulation, but for the match at WrestlePalooza, the revenge factor is all they need.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352. I’ll see you at the matches.
