Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Fatal 5-Way Match: Jimmy & Jey Uso versus Mark & Jay Youngblood versus Buzz & Brett Sawyer versus Kevin & Kerry Von Erich versus Matt & Jeff Hardy. Who wins?
Talk about talent and a brother-palooza. This would be an epic match with a great mix of styles and eras, all wrapped into a huge ball of chaos. Brett and Buzz were great in Georgia, while Mark & Jay had success for Crockett. The Von Erichs ruled Texas, while The Hardys and The Usos are WWE legends. It’s a tough call, but I’m going for the underdogs. Mark & Jay Youngblood with the upset win.
Were Penta and Rey Fenix, the Lucha Brothers, better off in AEW or are they better off in WWE?
Penta has been featured quite often on RAW as a top guy, so he’s definitely better in WWE. As for Fenix, it’s been a mixed bag on SmackDown, but he’s still being used more in WWE than he was in AEW for the last year of his contract. The move to WWE was the right move.
What’s going on with Jey Uso? LA Knight saved him and his brother, and Jey repaid him with a spear. Thoughts?
They’re teasing a heel turn, and if needed, Jey can pull a Roman and lead a new Bloodline. It’s obvious.
Picture this: An invasion of WWE by a new Nexus, with Chris Masters, Jack Swagger, Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Shayna Baszler, and PJ Black, led by a returning Karrion Kross & Scarlett. Thoughts?
It would be a cool moment, but the WWE roster is so loaded right now that, after the initial debut, most of these guys would end up sitting in catering and we’d have another Wyatt Sicks on our hands. The first response would be huge, but after that, nothing but the occasional appearance.
Mike Rotunda has announced he’s releasing a book about his life and career. Thoughts?
I remember seeing Rotundo starting as a rookie with Crockett, the college kid from Syracuse, and the career after that, in WCW, WWE, and all the identities, plus life as the son-in-law of Blackjack Mulligan, just imagine the stories he has to tell. I expect this book will be excellent.
Drew McIntyre was recently spotted hanging out with Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. So, should we expect a 3MB reunion?
At some point, it has to happen. Drew, Jinder, and Heath are like AJ Styles and the Good Brothers. The names just go together and belong together. And it would be so simple. Have Heath and Jinder in the audience as Drew’s guests. Drew gets into a situation in a match where he’s getting a three-on-one beatdown, maybe against The Vision or the MFTs, and having Heath and Jinder climb the fan barrier and make the save. Even if it’s a one-shot, it’d be a damn good match. Yeah, I hope we get 3MB back in the WWE. Are you listening, Hunter?
Logan Paul has joined the ranks of wrestlers demanding that Raja Jackson be arrested and get jail time for the attack on Syko Stu. Thoughts?
Logan gets it, and he’s speaking to the choir. Why hasn’t Raja been arrested yet? That idiot needs to be locked up and put away for a long, long time in prison.
Booker T recently made two interesting comments. Ronda Rousey spat in the face of professional wrestling, and Matt Riddle will never make it back to the big leagues. Thoughts?
And both of those two statements are 100% true. I don’t always agree with Booker, but Ronda has been an idiot, and Riddle keeps burning bridges. Booker knows of what he speaks, and he’s correct.
Do you think Rusev will finally win a world title in WWE? Or should he have stayed in AEW and continued his solo grind?
AEW wasn’t using Rusev, and he was sitting at home for over a year, not being used. In WWE, he’s been regularly featured fighting Sheamus and is rumored for an upcoming feud with Ilya Dragunov. And it looks as if Rusev and Oba Femi will be fighting soon. I can easily see a WWE, World, or NXT Championship in his future.
