Thoughts & Predictions

Coming up tomorrow night from the Cox Pavilion in Paradise, Nevada, is the cross-promoted WWE/AAA event, Worlds Collide. The best of WWE versus the best from South of the border. It’s a highly anticipated event that will air live on YouTube. Are you ready for a few predictions? Let’s do this.
Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice vs. Finn Balor & Roxanne Perez.
The Judgment Day is in the house, and their war with Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana continues. I think Finn won his last battle against the green man, so now, it’s time for the revenge of La Yesca. It’ll be a sneaky win, but a win regardless. Look for Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana to steal the win.
Winners: Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice.
Eight-Man Tag Team Lucha Showcase
Niño Hamburguesa, Mascarita Sagrada, Laredo Kid, and Octagon Jr. vs LWO (Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde), Lince Dorado, and Mini Abismo Negro.
This will be the wild and crazy match that covers the entire arena, featuring all the high-flying action and leaving the announcers struggling to keep up. It will truly be a showcase for everything that is Lucha. And in the end, the winners will be the LWO, for life.
Winners: LWO (Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde), Lince Dorado, and Mini Abismo Negro.
Number One Contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship
Natalya vs Faby Apache.
I’m happy to see that Natalya has been using the more serious Nattie Neidhart character in AAA, and I wish she were using it more often on RAW. This should be an excellent match. Though not well known outside of Mexico, Faby Apache is an accomplished wrestler and former 4-time Reina de Reinas Champion. My heart says Nattie, but my gut says Apache. Let’s go with the gut.
Winner and new Number One Contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Faby Apache.
Fatal Four-Way for the AAA Latin American Championship
Dragon Lee vs JD McDonagh vs Ethan Page vs Dr. Wagner III.
This match should be amazing. Dragon Lee has been on fire on RAW. JD is so damn underrated, but he represents Judgment Day, so he can never be counted out. Ethan Page has been killing it and dominating NXT. And Wagner III is a former star of Pro Wrestling NOAH, and a standout in his own right. Wagner just won the Latin American Championship, so it might be too soon to lose, but my gut says to watch either JD or Page. JD has all of Judgment Day in the arena, so that has to be taken into account. And while she wasn’t at NXT this past week, Page has Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervice. I think that will be the difference maker.
Winner and NEW AAA Latin American Champion: All Ego Ethan Page.
AAA World Tag Team Championships
The New Day vs. Pagano & Psycho Clown.
The New Day is still in mourning. This should be an excellent match, but it’s too soon to see Ragano & Psycho Clown, who just won the titles last month, lose the belts this quickly. Penta has been a thorn in the side of the New Day for a while now, and I think that continues. Penta keeps Grayson Waller from getting involved, the champs take advantage and get the win, and the New Day argue that they were cheated. Works for me.
Winners and STILL AAA World Tag Team Champions: Ragano & Psycho Clown.
AAA Mega Championship
Dominik Mysterio vs. El Hijo del Vikingo.
We’ll probably see AJ Styles get involved. We’ll most likely see El Grande Americano get involved. Will we see Judgment Day get involved, too? Who knows? Vikingo hasn’t been champion long, but even the long-time AAA fans are cheering for Dom over him. Dom is already the WWE Intercontinental Champion, but will he become a double-champion? Just imagine how proud Liv would be. And how jealous Finn would be? I smell a title change.
Winner and NEW AAA Mega Champion: Dominik Mysterio.
And there you go. Those are my predictions. What are yours? Let me know in the comments, along with any thoughts, questions, or ideas. And with that, thanks for reading, and your continued support. Be good, my friends, and I’ll see you at the matches.
