Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
If Dominik Mysterio turns face and is kicked out of Judgment Day, would you like to see him reunited with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley?
At some point, when Dom turns babyface, it’ll happen. It won’t be all lovey-dovey at first, nor should it be, but somewhere down the road, we’ll see Priest, Rhea, and Dom all as part of the same team. And the pop will be huge.
JBL has predicted that WWE will create a second, U.S.-based WrestleMania weekend sometime in 2027, to balance out the Saudi show. Thoughts?
If they do that, the Saudis won’t like it, but given the backlash from SaudiMania, WWE may have no choice but to do something like that. It might be necessary for survival by that point. We’ll have to watch and see.
Who will be John Cena’s final opponent?
I’ve seen speculation of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and even Dominik Mysterio, but my choice, if I were making the call, would be Gunther.
With that tease at NXT Homecoming, do you think we’ll get WWE versus NXT at Survivor Series: War Games?
That is a possibility, or given the tension between NXT and TNA, maybe we’ll have a WarGames match between the two promotions. Right now, the creative and possibilities are endless.
All Ego Ethan Page w/ Chelsea Green & The Secret Hervice versus Beautiful Bobby Eaton w/ Jim Cornette. Who wins?
This match would be awesome. Just watching Cornette and Chelsea square off would be worth it by itself. Bobby is the better in-ring talent, but Page is the better character, and he’s damn good in the ring as well. I’ll go with Page to win this one.
Hulk Hogan was left out of the “In Memoriam” at the Emmys. Why?
Hogan was a professional wrestler, plus he was aligned with Trump and the GOP. Did anyone actually expect him to be mentioned or honored? Hollyweird is the most liberal place on Earth, and if you’re not one of them, you will not be acknowledged. It’s sad, but not at all unexpected.
Ricochet says that WWE didn’t try hard enough to keep him. He also claims that AEW is more family-friendly than WWE. Thoughts?
WWE offered him what they felt he was worth. He didn’t agree and left. They did what was necessary and made the proper overtures. If he didn’t accept, that’s his problem and not theirs. As far as family-friendly, does Ricochet even watch the AEW product? Setting people on fire, needles in the mouth, Toni Storm, etc. Forgive me if I don’t agree.
Which is your current favorite right now? WWE, TNA, NXT, AEW, AAA, or someone else?
Based on the characters and stories, I prefer WWE. And the in-ring action, I’m currently finding the AAA product most watchable, followed by WWE Raw.
David Otunga recently said on a podcast that sometime before John Cena retires, he should face The Nexus. Thoughts?
That would be awesome to see Cena in the ring, maybe after a match. And Wade Barrett stands up to go interview Cena in the ring, and here comes Otunga, Darren Young, Michael Tarver, PJ Black (Justin Gabriel), Heath Slater, and Curtis Axel all to the ring from the crowd, surrounding Cena. And here comes the receipt and a Nexus beatdown. Maybe it’s just a one-off, or maybe a War Games match at Survivor Series on November 29, with The Nexus versus Cena and a team of chosen partners. But regardless of how it’s played, it would be great TV and fun to see.
NXT General Manager Ava Raine says that she’s not a Nepo Baby and has her job because of her talent, not because she’s The Rock’s daughter. Thoughts?
She trained to be a wrestler, and failed. But she’s such a natural and charismatic figure; she is a star in every sense of the word. Just because her father is the Rock has absolutely nothing to do with job status. And Tamina Snuka is still listed on the WWE roster because she’s the GOAT of women’s wrestling. And I’ll bet she believes that too.
Bulldog Brower versus Ronnie Garvin. Who wins?
Surprisingly, though their careers often overlapped, Brower and Garvin never wrestled each other. It would be an interesting clash of styles. Brower was the maniac, the lunatic, and Garvin was the serious, methodical wrestling machine. Brower would get the shots in, and Garvin would be left pouring blood, but when the final bell rang, I feel it would be Garvin who would get credited with the win.
