Do you think AEW will outshine WWE’s NXT Invasion on October 7? Which show will you be watching live?

I won’t watch either live, but I’ll watch the highlights of both on YouTube sometime late Tuesday night. I’m hoping AEW has a good show, but in the words of the theme song from Mel Brooks’ movie, The Twelve Chairs, hope for the best, expect the worst.

Do you agree that ESPN’s journalist went too far by grading Wrestlepalooza a “C”?

It was a surprise and kind of harsh, but they called it as they saw it. Good for them. Not too far at all, but just being a good journalist.

Would you want to see Booker T join the SmackDown commentary team again full-time?

A little Booker goes a long way, so stick with Corey and Wade. Booker, as the occasional substitute, works fine, but no more than that, please.

Ric Flair is urging John Cena to quit wrestling for good after his final match. Do you think John Cena will stay retired for good after his final match—or will the ring call him back one more time?

Wrestling is wrestling, so never say never, but I think Cena means it, and will stay away from in-ring action once the final match ends. But Ric Flair telling ANYONE to stay away from wrestling after their final match? Really? That’s a bit hypocritical, don’t you think?

Do you think Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax had the worst match of the year?

Nope. The ending was messed up and a major flub, but I’ve seen matches far worse. I occasionally watch AEW.

Do you agree with Booker T’s take that Jade Cargill needed to protect herself better, or do you think Nia Jax deserves the criticism for Jade’s getting busted open on SmackDown?

I’ve watched that scenario many times, plus listened to Stevie Richards go over the spot in his “What went wrong?” segment of his show. Jade screwed up and didn’t get the arms up properly for that spot. So, this injury falls all on Jade.

What’s your take on Roman Reigns’ return to WWE? Did you see it coming?

It’s become so regular an occurrence that it’s losing its impact with each return. Roman’s gone, and then a month later, he’s back to set something up for the next PLE. And then he’s gone again. It was just another day at the office for WWE and RAW. Little more.

Vince McMahon is #1. Who is the second greatest wrestling promoter of all time?

It’s a tough call for me between Bill Watts and his Mid-South wrestling, or Jim Crockett Jr. and Jim Crockett Promotions. I’m a North Carolina guy. Let’s go with Jim Crockett.
