Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

“I am in the Hall of Fame because I revolutionized Women’s wrestling. Not because I am married to Undertaker.” – Michelle McCool. Thoughts?

If this quote is accurate, and I have no reason to believe it’s not, whatever. If that’s what McCool wants to tell herself to make herself feel better, so be it. Most wrestling fans, even those with only a casual interest in the business, know better.

Edris Enofe says he’s leaving WWE. Thoughts?

I have no idea who this is, even after looking him up. He’s been in NXT for a few years, and apparently asked for a release, which WWE granted. Best wishes in his future endeavors.

What do you remember about Skandor Akbar?

I remember seeing Akbar on USWA and World Class Wrestling, but I wasn’t a regular viewer of either, so my knowledge of him isn’t much. I know more from the Apter Mags and the occasional story about Devastation, Inc., than anything else. A prominent manager with a great legacy, especially in the Texas territories.

The Horsemen (Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham) versus The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa). Who wins?

The Bloodline is good, but the Horsemen had James J. Dillon in the corner with them. The Bloodline has Paul Heyman, but Paul rarely gets physically involved. Dillon lived to whack people in the head with his shoe. The Horsemen cheat and steal the win.

Who is the greatest ever WWE Intercontinental Champion?

The title goes back to 1979, and since then, 92 people have won this championship. Gunther has the longest reign at 666 days, while Chris Jericho has the record for the most reigns with a total of 9 runs with the belt. Ric Flair is the oldest IC Champion, at age 56, while Jeff Hardy is the youngest at age 23. And the greatest? I’ll go with six-time IC Champion, The Miz. Why? Because he’s the Miz, and he’s AWESOME!

Which version of Animal and Hawk did you like better? The Road Warriors or the Legion of Doom?

To me, the Legion of Doom will always be thirteen super villains living in the Hall of Doom, beneath the murky swamp, looking to challenge the Super Friends. Animal, Hawk, and Paul Ellering will always be The Road Warriors to me.

Lex Luger versus Superstar Billy Graham versus Nikita Koloff versus Road Warrior Hawk. Who wins?

That is a lot of muscle and meat in that match. And they’re all power guys, so don’t look for any hammerlocks or small packages, unless it’s from steroid use. It’s a tough call, but my gut says Hawk would win, once all the smoke clears.

If you could spend a day with one of these men, Vince McMahon, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, or Paul Heyman, and discuss wrestling, which one would you choose?

It would be a tough call because all of these men know the business inside and out and have tons of knowledge to share. Based on personality alone, and who I’d probably be able to stand the most for an extended period of time, I’d say Paul Heyman.

Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of wrestlers who used the sleeper as a finisher?

Johnny Weaver, Maniac Mark Lewin, Verne Gagne, and Gentleman Jervis. Jervis has the most unique version, at the 11:56 mark, but it’s very cool.

Apparently, some people in Israel are upset that WWE is holding an event called Invasion on October 7th, the Anniversary of the Caza assault and invasion of Israel. Thoughts?

And WWE/NXT took note, and despite the long history the name Invasion has in the WWE and wrestling in general, they have changed the name of next Tuesday’s TNA versus NXT event to TNA versus NXT: Showdown. I think the change of name was unnecessary, but I get it. TKO doesn’t want to appear insensitive or offend anyone.
