Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
I know it’s early, but do you think Vince is in attendance at his daughter’s HOF induction ceremony?
Nope, I don’t think that Vince will be there. I doubt he would want to be at a WWE event in person, and I’m rather sure TKO would rather he not be there either. His presence would be too disruptive. I’m also assuming that Linda McMahon will be there, and putting the two McMahons in the audience together probably wouldn’t be a good idea.
Cedric Alexander’s contract with TNA allegedly expires next week. MVP recently spoke of wanting to add Alexander to the Hurt Syndicate. Do you think Alexander will stay with TNA or end up as part of AEW?
I don’t think MVP would be specifically mentioning Alexander’s name if there wasn’t something already in the works. Cedric isn’t being used often by TNA, and a move to AEW would, for a while at least, put Cedric with the Hurt Syndicate in the main events. I think Cedric will be going to AEW.
Rank these five based on their mic ability: Alexa Bliss, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Zelina Vega, and Bianca Belair.
In my opinion, from best to worst, I’d have Becky as the top talker, followed by Bianca, Charlotte, Zelina, and then Alexa.
Solo Sikoa says there is ” something missing ” from his family, the MFTs, in order for it to be complete. What’s missing?
I think they need a female member. Hell, it worked great for DX and for Judgment Day. So, who’s missing? Either Nia Jax or Tamina Snuka. And personally, I’d rather see Tamina come back and fill that role.
Later this month, DC Comics and AEW will collaborate on a two-part crossover series featuring wrestlers teaming up with superheroes. Thoughts?
This should be interesting. Considering the lack of storytelling in AEW, maybe Tony Khan can take notes from the DC writers and learn something. Will Wonder Woman be fighting Mercedes Mone, to give Mone a comic book title too? I will most definitely be checking this out.
Would you like to see Bad Bunny wrestle again—and if so, who should his next opponent be in WWE?
Let’s get Bad Bunny through the Super Bowl first before we start booking his next wrestling match. And as for who? If Austin Theory is back, he’d be the perfect foe. For some reason, Xavier Woods versus Bad Bunny sounds good to me as well.
UFC MMA Fight: Matt Riddle versus CM Punk. Who wins?
Based on what I’ve seen of their matches in the Octagon, I think Riddle would probably win this one. Punk would dominate the promos, but once they got into the cage, Riddle would be the better fighter.
What’s your take on Adam Page and his comments about ICE?
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and Page is certainly entitled to his. That he’s griping about corporate sponsors, the government, and sounds like an idiot, and his comments could cost WBD, TNT, and TBS millions of dollars, well, that’s his right too. Go for it, Hangman. Keep talking!
The Rock’s movie, The Smashing Machine, is out and has bombed. Thoughts?
This movie has the lowest opening weekend of any of Dwayne Johnson’s movies, ever. And yes, that includes The Tooth Fairy. The movie budget was over 50,000,000 dollars, and the estimate for the opening weekend was around $6,000,000. I’m sure the numbers will pick up once it begins streaming, but still. Damn those Swifties. I suspect we’ll see The Final Boss on WWE TV shortly, and maybe even do a match at Mania. All the hype for this movie, and kabloom! Can you smell what I’m cooking? Dwayne is definitely not a happy jabroni this week.
Shannon Moore wrestled at ROH this past week. Thoughts?
I can’t even remember the last time that I heard of Shannon wrestling anywhere, but he’s a good guy, a talented performer, and I’m glad to see him back in the ring. For Shannon, I may even try to watch some ROH on the computer. Welcome back. Mr. Moore.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352.
