Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Do you think fan reactions have gone too far when it comes to wrestling opinions?

Wrestling fans are a special breed for sure. Daniel Bryan once described fans as fickle, and that seems to be a major understatement. But it’s not just wrestling fans. In today’s world of tolerance and acceptance, if someone dares to disagree or have a different opinion, people tend to go psychotic and go crazy. Common sense is a lost cause these days, and wrestling fans are among the very worst. Fans have threatened Gail Kim’s life because she’s not a fan of death matches, and doesn’t like the way Riho was presented in the match that she saw. Too far? Absolutely. And it makes me embarrassed sometimes to admit that I’m a fan because of it.

According to Kevin Nash, two of the women currently on “WWE Raw” are being portrayed as “mentally unstable,” with Nash questioning if that’s a good idea.

Nash was referring to Bayley and AJ Lee in his comments, but given this past week, he could have been speaking about Asuka, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane as well. And Rhea, for that matter. Is having mentally unstable characters as part of a wrestling event a good idea? Well, looking back, names like Abdullah the Butcher, Roddy Piper, Norman the Lunatic, Bulldog Brower, Dan Spivey, Mr. McMahon, Evad Sullivan, The Moondogs, Captain Lou Albano, and Scott Hall all come to mind. None of these were the picture of mental stability or having their shit together. And didn’t Nash himself dress up in bright green and declare himself to be from the Emerald City of Oz? It’s professional wrestling. Acting crazy is part of the show. Kevin is just talking to be talking. Nothing more.

Do you think fans are too quick to judge when mistakes happen live?

Fans love to judge, but if put in an identical situation, they couldn’t do 98% of the things those men and women do in the ring. Hell, I do it too. But it depends on the mistake. Accidents happen, and if it’s a legit accident, we should be careful with our comments. When it’s just stupid being stupid, and makes no sense, then anything goes.

Do you think Oba Femi is ready for the main WWE roster now, or should he spend more time in WWE NXT?

I’m a little scared that Femi may end up being lost in the shuffle on the main roster, but he is ready for prime time and the big shows. He’s had a great run in NXT, and it’s time now to move forward.

Do you think WWE and TNA made the right choices for their ShowDown teams?

For the men, it’s Team NXT (Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Borne) vs. Team TNA (Mike Santana, Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater), with Joe Hendry as the guest referee. As for the women, it’s Team NXT (Jacy Jayne, Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, and Lola Vice) vs. Team TNA (Kelani Jordan, Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee, and Mara Sadè), with Jordynne Grace as the guest referee. All the teams are solid. I probably would have tried to find a way to put Matt Cardona on the TNA team, and maybe Chelsea Green on the NXT team, but apart from that, the selections make sense and work for me.

Demolition has been announced as the first inductees into the 2026 Wrestling Life Hall of Fame. Thoughts?

I’m not even sure what the Wrestling Life Hall of Fame is, but if it’s a Hall of Fame for legends and deserving wrestlers, then Demolition certainly belongs. Congratulations to Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow for a well-deserved honor. Now, when does the WWE HOF induction happen?

Ruin the Four Horsemen with one bad member. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and who?

The first name that popped into my head was a man I respect and find very entertaining. But a Horseman? Not only no, but HELL NO! I’m speaking of The Disco Inferno.

Booker T says that Jade Cargill didn’t learn anything in AEW. Thoughts?

During her entire run in AEW, Jade only wrestled squash matches and rarely wrestled more than three to four minutes, and never against quality opponents. She would have learned more working the local Indy shows at the high school gym each weekend. Jade has a great presence, but her skills are not where they should be for someone who has been in the spotlight for as long as she has. And yes, Booker is right. AEW is largely to blame.
