Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Laredo Kid, who also works for AAA, announced his departure from TNA. Thoughts?
Kid also said that he may still work for TNA, so this isn’t a big deal. I guess that with the restructuring of AAA, it’s a better fit for Kid and his family. TNA wasn’t using him for anything major, so he’s making moves. No big deal.
Dani Sekelsky and Shiloh Hill are the winners of Season Two of WWE LFG. Thoughts?
Who? I don’t watch LFG, but I trust the judgment of 3 of the judges. I’ll check these two out when they show up at NXT or on Evolve.
Let’s say that WCW won the war. Do you think that Bischoff would’ve given Vince McMahon a position with WCW?
Would Eric have given Vince a job? Yes, he would have made an offer. Would Vince have accepted it and worked for Eric? No chance in hell.
Does Ted Turner belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?
This is a no-brainer for sure. Yes, he does.
Michelle McCool has won the WWE LFG Championship for WWE LFG Season 2. Thoughts?
And that’s why I don’t watch LFG. Well, of the four coaches, only three were better. But being married to the Undertaker had nothing to do with her win. Nope, not at all.
Describe Vince Russo in five words or less.
Creative, energetic anti-Cornette Bro.
Would Zelina Vega be better off leaving WWE and going to AEW?
For more money and a short, but meaningless push, yes. For long-term career plans and opportunities, she’s better off with WWE.
Tony Khan promises that AEW ticket prices will remain affordable as WWE continues to increase the cost for its events. Thoughts?
On this, Tony is playing it smart and doing the right thing. Without fans, the company can’t continue to exist, and WWE is pricing out its core audience, driving all but the most wealthy and hardcore fans away. Tony realizes this. TKO doesn’t.
Justin Credible was online this weekend claiming that he was in an accident on Thursday, but upon being released from the hospital, he doesn’t have the money for tolls to get home, and is asking the fans to help and send him money. Thoughts?
Justin Credible is the boy who cried wolf one too many times. Was he in an accident? I’d want to see a police report first before I believe him. To just get home? Doesn’t he have friends or family to call? Credible has scammed so many people, taking money for items, but never coming through, begging for money from fans at shows, faking medical issues to beg for money from fans, etc. And he’s doing it again. Credible is a liar, an addict, and has no pride or self-respect. As others have pointed out, his video, where he’s asking for help, is a motel bed that he’s in. The heart monitor things on his chest are not hooked up to anything. The cross he’s wearing is a nice touch, but even Satan was an angel once. I hope nobody is ignorant enough to send him money. He’s a sad-ass dude.
Today would have been Bruno Sammartino’s 90th birthday. What are your thoughts and memories of wrestling’s living legend?
The things that come to mind for me about Bruno are Larry Zbyszko’s hero-worship of the guy, and their groundbreaking feud and battle at Shea. One match made Zbyszko’s career, and he knows it. And a cage match in WCW where Gary Hart’s team of Muta & Terry Funk fought Ric Flair and Sting, at Halloween Havoc ’89, in an electrified cage match. Bruno was the special guest referee. The biggest thing about that match was that the decorations at the top of the cage caught fire, and Muta sprayed the fire with the green mist. Bruno was the referee, and although he didn’t do much during the match, his presence still stands out in my memories.
