Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Tony Khan recently described Jon Moxley as AEW’s modern-day Harley Race. Thoughts?

I don’t remember Harley Race ever trying to drown Dory Funk in a fish aquarium, or Harley ever sticking skewers under Jack Brisco’s fingernails. If I were comparing Moxley to an old-school wrestler, I’d pick The Sheik, but not nearly as stylish, dignified, or respectable.

As WWE gears up for its upcoming PLEs within the next two years, WWE President Nick Khan is confident fans will travel to Saudi Arabia for WrestleMania 43. Thoughts?

Traveling to Saudi Arabia, which means plane tickets, passports, crazy motel fees, visiting a country where there is no drinking, strong dress codes, and you have to watch everything you say, or have ever said online, to make sure you don’t offend the oppressive government, for a wrestling show? Nah, I think Nick might be mistaken.

Shinsuke Nakamura is allegedly hinting at retirement after the WWE Supershow in Tokyo. Thoughts?

Shinsuke is 45 years old and has been wrestling for 23 years, so his body has to be feeling it by now. I would think he has a few more years left in him, but he knows better than we do. I’d like to see Shinsuke have one more good run in the WWE, but he has to do what he feels is best for him and his family, whatever that is.

Lexis King versus Iceman King Parsons. Who wins?

I like Brian Pillman’s little boy, but I remember King Parsons very well, and I expect he’d be slamming King’s rooty-poo all over the place. The Iceman would take the win.

Despite talking about possible retirement, Samoa Joe’s contract with AEW runs until 2027. Thoughts?

It sounds like Joe is just thinking ahead. There is nothing wrong with that.

Rhea Ripley has a broken nose. Thoughts?

Rhea works in a physical style, and accidents happen. I doubt she’ll miss any major time. Best wishes to Mami for a speedy recovery.

King Harley Race versus The Macho King Randy Savage versus Jerry “The King” Lawler versus King Bookah.Who wins?

What a royal brawl this would be. What a fight it would be. And the winner would be the 8-time NWA Champion, Handsome Harley Race, who does not bear any resemblance to Jon Moxley.

Thoughts on AEW WrestleDream? How would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10?

Every match seemed to have interference, betrayal, and be crazy, but the show was still more watchable than most of their shows. That main event, though. Oy vey. I’ll give it a 7.

What did you think of the Jon Moxley versus Darby Allin I Quit Match? Too much?

Skewers under the fingernails, outside interference, a fish tank and potential drowning, old-man Sting, and the finish was a Scorpion Deathlock. The rest of the show made sense, but this match? It went exactly as I expected.

Charlie Thesz puts over AEW, saying that Lou would have loved the progress AEW has done for this industry, and that, unlike some old timers, Lou Thesz would be blown away by what’s happening in AEW because it perpetuates the heart of professional wrestling. Thoughts? Do you think Lou Thesz would be a fan of AEW?

Lou Thesz thought Harley Race was too gimmicky as a wrestler. Somehow, I don’t think Lou would have been very happy with the show last night, or AEW in general. Actually, between AEW and WWE, I doubt that Lou would be very impressed with anything that passes as wrestling today.
