Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Marko Stunt has a new job as a car salesman. Thoughts?

I guess this rules out the chances of a full-scale Jurassic Express reunion. But seriously, Marko announced his retirement last year due to back issues. His tiny frame couldn’t handle the stress and physicality of a wrestling career. It’s good to see he’s doing well and has found a new career. Best wishes to Marko.

Jelly Roll has confirmed that he intends to “run it back” and wrestle in WWE again, with his “dream scenario” being to compete every week for a six- to nine-month run. Thoughts?

It’s an interesting idea, but I’m not sure how well it would work long-term. Jelly has lost over 250lbs over the past two years, and I worry that his bones and back, after carrying that much weight for so long, could be too weak to endure a longer run inside the ring. If the doctors approve and he wants to do it, then great. It would be good TV and entertaining to watch.

Vince Russo recently said that he feels John Cena is unhappy with his retirement tour, and once his WWE career ends, he may end up talking to Tony Khan and AEW. Thoughts?

I saw this video, and I think it’s AI. Russo seemed more off than usual in this video. Not enough bros, bro. But if it is real, I don’t think Cena has any plans to go to AEW. He’s WWE 4 Life.

Do you think ESPN’s massive deal with WWE will pay off in the long run?

I think ESPN may already be feeling some buyer’s remorse, and if they’re not feeling it yet, they probably soon will be.

Would you want to see Post Malone step inside the WWE ring?

Not really, no. Maybe if Jelly Ross does pursue a full-time run with WWE, Malone could be some backup for him, but honestly, if any of Jelly Roll’s friends show up in a WWE ring, I’d rather see it be Struggle Jennings and Yelawolf.

Do you think AEW’s leadership structure is working—or is it time for a shakeup at the top?

AEW doesn’t have a leader. They have a friend. Tony can keep writing the checks, but someone else needs to be in charge of production and doing the booking.

Do you think Sol Ruca’s injury is real, or is this all part of an NXT storyline twist?

She gave up two championships. If it’s a work, why would she do that? I think the injury is legit.

Do you believe D‑Von’s claim that KKK members infiltrated WWE during the 1990s?

When did Dick Murdoch work for the WWE? He made an appearance in the Royal Rumble in 1995, so the timeline fits. D-Von was right.

Do you think WWE intentionally mirrored Goldberg’s streak with Asuka’s run?

WWE gave Asuka a winning streak because she was, and is, a fantastic wrestler, and was arguably the best talent in WWE/NXT at the time. Nobody was thinking about Goldberg’s streak, which had been over for almost two decades by that point. Asuka’s streak has nothing to do with Bill Goldberg. No one was ready for Asuka.

Should WWE still be allowed to restrict wrestlers from working elsewhere after being fired?

If the wrestler signs the contract and agrees to that clause, then WWE has every right to enforce it. Read before you agree, or else don’t complain about it later.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Reach me by e-mail at Doug28352@yahoo.com or on X at @Doug28352. I’ll see you at the matches.
