Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Titus O’Neil: “I can say this, you know, because I’ve been to Saudi Arabia several times now: I feel safer in Saudi Arabia than I do in most places — or a lot of places — in the United States of America.” Thoughts?
In Saudi Arabia, Titus would have security, be treated as an honored guest, and be allowed only in certain areas. With those circumstances, I’d feel safe too. I’d still rather be here in the United States and allowed to say what I think, be myself, etc. If Titus likes Saudi Arabia, good for him. I prefer America.
Jade Cargill has turned on Tiffany Stratton and is now a heel, challenging for the title at SNME. Thoughts?
Jade is a natural heel, and let’s be honest. She was bombing as a babyface. This should liven things up.
Ilja Dragunov says that he will continue the weekly open challenges for the U.S. title on SmackDown. Thoughts?
Good for him. It’s a great way to build his character, plus add to the prestige of the title. I’m glad to hear this.
Bobby Eaton would have made a much better addition to the Four Horsemen in 1993 than Paul Roma. Yes or no?
Thinking back, Bobby would have made a great addition to The Horsemen. Roma grew into the role and made a good team with Arn Anderson, but it never quite clicked. Arn and Bobby were already legit best friends, and Bobby was established and known to the WCW fans. Yes, Bobby probably would have worked out much better as a Horseman.
Who do you think “attacked” Jacob Fatu?
I have no idea. Given the real reason for his removal from TV, maybe it was the team of Isaac Yankum and Dr. Britt Baker. Okay, maybe not. Just because I want to see them fight at some point, my guess is Brock Lesnar. Brock versus Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania? Works for me.
Sable versus Nikki Bella. Who wins?
If we’re getting the Nikki from five years ago, I’ll say Nikki Bella. If we’re using the Nikki of the past two weeks, I’d go with Sable. Nikki has been awful since her WWE return.
Superstar Billy Graham & Ivan Koloff versus Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker. Who wins?
This match would be fun and stiff. Reed and Breakker are the future and an excellent team. But against Superstar Billy and Uncle Ivan, they’d be just two more victims.
Is there any celebrity that you feel should go in or should have gone in the WWE Hall of Fame that hasn’t been (besides Cyndi Lauper)?
Regis Philbin immediately comes to mind. Regis loved wrestling and had wrestlers as his guests for his entire TV run, for over sixty years. Dennis Rodman belongs too.
Do you think that TKO will eventually sell WWE to Saudi Arabia?
Eventually, it would not surprise me in the slightest.
Candice LaRae has quietly assumed the role of a producer backstage for WWE in addition to wrestling. Thoughts?
Smart move by Candice. Keep learning and increasing her value to the business. Wrestlers are easily replaceable, but wrestlers who can talk, wrestle, and produce a match can’t be replaced quite as easily. The more a person can do, the more valuable they are and the more job security they have.
AEW is planning on holding live events on Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. Thoughts?
So they’re forcing their employees to work on two of the biggest family holidays of the year. A live event on Thanksgiving is a wrestling tradition, so I can somewhat understand that, but New Year’s Eve? I just don’t see that working very well. But maybe I’m wrong. We’ll see.
According to Barry Windham, Mike Rotunda is currently in Hospice care. Thoughts?
Man, this sucks. I remember Mike Rotuindo as the clean-cut kid from Syracuse, running around with Jimmy Valiant in Crockett, over forty years ago, using the airplane spin as a finisher. This explains why Bo Dallas, aka Uncle Howdy, has been missing shows lately. Prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery for the one-time I.R.S. Hang in there, good sir.
