Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Did you watch SNME? How would you rate it on a scale of 1-5?

I watched it, and it was a decent show. It felt more like an episode of RAW or SmackDown than Saturday Night’s Main Event. The only nostalgia was the older style mic from the ceiling, but it was still a solid show from start to finish, with four decent matches.

Rate the matches from best to worst.

This is based on the enjoyment of the match, and nothing else. Dom over Penta and Rusev was my favorite, followed by Punk over Jey. Then Cody over Drew, and bringing up the rear was Jade versus Tiffany.

Jesse Ventura was not at SNME. Is the Governator through with WWE?

Jesse really can’t do the job, as he was moved quickly from commentary to an opening intro piece. The Governor still has a great voice, but wasn’t adding much to the program. I don’t know what his current status with WWE is, but if he is quietly released, I won’t be surprised.

WWE is having a sixteen-man tournament with stars from WWE, NXT, and other promotions to determine who will wrestle John Cena in his final match. Thoughts? Who would be your pick for Cena’s final opponent?

Based on the video clip for this announcement, 11 names have already been picked to take part in this tournament, with five names to be added. I expect we’ll see some TNA talent, possibly Joe Hendry, added to the tournament. And maybe a retired legend or former WWE star or two. This is actually a good way to determine Cena’s last opponent, and get the fans excited, plus possibly building some stars in the process. I like the idea. And I still think it will be Gunther facing Cena in December.

Booker T says it’s time for WWE to call Oba Femi to the main roster. Thoughts?

It appears that Femi’s run in NXT is over, so Booker is right. Bring him up to the main roster and the main events for a while.

Matt Hardy says that he wants his final match to be in a WWE ring. Thoughts?

Sounds good to me.

What do you think about Tony Khan’s strategy of freezing out talent with potential WWE plans?

It’s petty, childish, and immature. In other words, it sounds right. Keep the talent locked in contracts, keep paying them, and do not use them at all because someone else might be interested in them. If he can’t have them, no one else can either. Yeppers, that’s our Tony.

Are you happy to see CM Punk back on top in WWE?

I’d rather see him doing petty, personal feuds as he did with Drew and Seth, but a run as the World Champion was inevitable. At least now, we’re knocking it out of the way. And given the current WWE circumstances, Punk is the right person.
