Every day, my Twitter feed is filled with dozens of random questions. This is where I provide the answers. It’s the Ultimate X Q&A. My, how the time has flown by. It’s number 169, and I’m still here. Don’t say I don’t love ya.
Do you think the NFL is fixed?
Absolutely. By comparison, pro wrestling is straight-up shoot fighting and real. Anything that involves that much money is not going to be left to chance. It’s all damn rigged.
Would you rather have the ability to fly or the ability to teleport?
Teleport. I’m scared of heights.
What is your favourite form of exercise?
It used to be walking. Now, it’s booty calls.
Are single-gender schools better for students?
I can see how it would be more orderly and efficient, but the real world is gender explicit, and education shouldn’t be either.
What makes you push the cringe button?
Listening to the woke liberals talk and trying to explain why their derangement isn’t deranged or wrong. It’s an instant headache.
To what extent does mental illness contribute to criminal behavior?
It’s a contributing factor for sure, but I think a lack of proper guidance, poor parenting, and lack of consequences contribute far more than mental illness does.
What’s your favourite nickname someone has given you, and how did you get it?
My favorite? I once had a guy, and his brother, call me Cupcake. And why? Because I was so damn sweet and delicious. And they would know.
Should all police officers be required to wear body cameras?
From the moment they come on duty to the time they clock out, for all interactions, no exceptions. Yes.
Should non-violent drug offenses carry mandatory minimum sentences?
If you do the crime, you do the time. Yes, mandatory sentences should be enforced and followed.
Why are you pro-life?
Because I’ve seen what babies, who weren’t perfect, grow up to be. That’s a human life, and life is a beautiful thing to be cherished, not slaughtered and discarded.
You are in charge of picking a movie for Family Night. What movie are you choosing?
Right now, I’d pick the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It’s a classic, and I think everyone should see it at least once.
Name 5 foods you like.
Chicken Nuggets, Eggrolls, Corn Dogs, Pudding, and Orange Sherbert.
Did the “No Kings” protests change how you feel about President Trump?
Nope. Why would it? He’s the President, not a king.
Was your first concert your best concert?
My first concert was with Charlie Rich and Willie Nelson, and I was 14 years old. I’d appreciate it more now than I did then, but my best, as much as I hate to admit it, was Reba McEntire.
One has to go… Coffee or music. Which one is going?
I don’t drink… coffee. Tell it goodbye.
If you could do anything, besides what you’re doing now, what would you do?
Walk, sell liquor at the ABC store, be a professional writer, and make sweet love to a very special guy… or a certain set of twins.
Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of stand-up comedians?
Joan Rivers, George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, and Don Rickles. With a special mention to Chris Rock and Brad Williams.
If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?
A picture of my cat, sitting on the kitchen counter and ignoring my demands to move. Only perfection.
In your opinion, who is the most influential female rock artist of all time?
So many names come to mind, such as Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Cher, Blondie, Ann & Nancy Wilson, etc. But the best? She even had an album titled Simply the Best. Of course, I mean Tina Turner.
If you were writing a book about Barack Obama right now, what would the title be?
Deception!
What’s something you’re passionate about that most people don’t know?
Most people know my passions. I’m essentially an open book. But how about pro wrestling? Believe it or not, I’m actually a big fan.
What book or movie left a lasting impression on you?
Notes to Myself, by Hugh Prather. I was introduced to that book by my amazing lil’ sister, TMA, and it honestly changed my life. Just one of many ways that Theresa helped make me a better person.
What’s a personal goal you’d like to achieve in the next year?
Stay alive. And maybe write a book. And expand the DougMaynard.com media empire with videos and maybe even a podcast. I want to expand and set my legacy.
Would you rather explore the world or stay in one country?
I’ll stay in one country. Hell, I hate to leave the house. I’m sure as hell not leaving my country.
What’s your number one goal in life?
Stay alive.
Do you hold grudges or let things go easily?
Wendy’s once cheated me out of 28 cents in change. That was over ten years ago. I still refuse to eat there. So, what do you think?
What’s your comfort movie or show?
Anything by Kevin Smith, or Family Guy. I like The Big Bang Theory too.
If a genie gave you three wishes, what would you wish for?
Good physical health for everyone I hold dear, including myself, success and financial security for these same people, again including myself, and a happy marriage to a certain guy who I still love despite not being with him right now.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s close up the shop today. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you in the lab.
