The Unbreakable Bunch (2024)

Have you ever watched a movie, and when it finished, you’re not quite sure what the point was, what the story was, or why you even watched it, but you still have that warm and fuzzy feeling in your tum-tum? Well, before now, I can honestly say that I never had. And then I watched The Unbreakable Bunch. And now, all bets are off.
Written by Luther Biggs and Ray Lloyd, better known to wrestling fans as Glacier in WCW, this movie follows wrestler Jock, played by Lloyd, and a few of his old buddies, played by Biggs, Haku, Larry Zbyszko, and Ernest “The Cat” Miller as they get the old gang back together for a tour across the country to save a Sober Living Facility.
The trip leads them to a town in Florida that has been taken over by aliens with evil plans for the Earth. Along the way, the wrestlers encounter names such as Ron Reiss, Stan Hansen, and Dallas Page. And ot all leads to a showdown between the wrestlers and the aliens at the Alamo. And no, I’m not kidding. The storyline is practically non-existent, and it’s more like just watching Haku beat people up while Zbyszko stands there and smokes, but it makes sense in an odd sort of way. The sense of brotherhood between the wrestlers fills in all the holes and spaces.
If you’re looking for great stories, dramatic moments, and Oscar nominations, pass on this. But if you’re an old-school wrestling fan who just wants a feel-good moment and a warm, fuzzy feeling in the tum tum, be sure to check it out. The IMDB rating is 7.0, and I can understand why. It’s low budget and will never win a major award, but it won my heart rather quickly.
Dougie Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5.
And there you go. Thanks for reading. Now, go check out this movie, currently showing on Tubi, and let me know what you think. I’ll see you at the matches.
