Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Who is the better celebrity wrestler, Jelly Roll or Bad Bunny?
Bad Bunny was the better in-ring performer, while Jelly had the better presence and was more larger-than-life. Both men did an excellent job.
Dirty Dominik beat up the midget John Cena on RAW. Thoughts?
It’s an old gag, but it hasn’t been seen in a while, and was fine for what it was, to allow Dom to generate some heat, and promote the match for Saturday. Nothing special, but still fun.
Viscera’s Whirlwind of Love or Big Boss Man’s Bossman Slam. Which one would you rather take?
I think I’d take the Big Bossman slam. Viscera tended to get sloppy at times, and you might not feel a thing, or you may end up being literally grounded into the mat. Yeah, let’s go with the Bog Bossman.
JD McDonagh versus Juventud Guerrera. Who wins?
JD against Prime Juvi would be a fantastic match. These two men would match up so well and would steal the show. I’m pulling for JD to take a very close and hard-fought win after Judgment Day causes a distraction.
Which televised wrestling show is the most “can’t miss” every week?
WWE Evolve is my current favorite, but most of the major happenings seem to be on RAW. Let’s go with RAW.
Did you see Brock Lesnar fall over during his entrance? Thoughts?
I saw it, but he played it off well. Between the stumble and the splitting of the pants a few months ago, Brock’s returns seem to be Botch-A-Mania prime viewing. Brock just laughs it all off, though, and seems even more of a beast as a result. Brock is just not caring. He’s there to have fun now.
Penta seemingly was injured on RAW, forcing his match against Solo Sikoa to be stopped. Early reports suggest a shoulder injury. Thoughts?
I hate this for Ray Fenix. The reformation of the Lucha Brothers was supposed to elevate their standing and presence in WWE. And an injury is never good, as Penta has really established himself in a solid spot on the RAW roster, and this may break his momentum. Best wishes to Penta for a speedy and painless recovery.
What if Jey USO is the chosen one against John Cena? Thoughts?
That would be a bad call by WWE and wouldn’t work at all in my opinion. Jey is losing his momentum and would be booed heavily. Of the remaining participants in the tournament, either Gunther or Solo should win.
Nature Boy Buddy Rogers versus Superstar Billy Graham. Who wins?
What a classic match this would be. The build for the match and the promos would be amazing. The match itself would be okay. I’d go with Superstar Billy Graham for the win.
Do you think Ace Austin is being overlooked in AEW?
When Austin was part of TNA, he was on television regularly and in a featured match on every PPV. And now, he’s basically an afterthought. It didn’t take long for the shiny new flavor to wear off. So, that would be a yes to this question.
Would you want to see Brodie Lee Jr. officially join AEW once he turns 18? Or should he carve his own path elsewhere in pro wrestling?
I want to see Brodie do what he wants and feels is best when he’s legally able. Does he want to be a Hook or be a Dom Jr? He has four years to decide.
Should CJ Perry get one more real run in WWE, or would she thrive more outside the ring in a manager or character role? Would you like to see Perry finish her story?
As an in-ring performer, the WWE has advanced so much with their women’s division; I fear Lana/CJPerry would be lost and left behind. If Perry does return to the WWE, her best chances of success would be as a manager or in a character role.
