Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Lei Ying Lee is the new TNA Knockouts Champion. Thoughts?

Who? I had to actually go online to look her up and figure out who she is. She’s been part of TNA for a while and seems credible enough. Congratulations to the new champion.

WWE Raw and SmackDown need new theme music. Yes or no?

I couldn’t even tell you what the themes for either show are anymore. I do watch RAW every week, but SmackDown, I watch the highlights on YouTube more often than not. Just because the songs don’t stand out to me at all anymore, I’ll say yes to new theme songs.

Do you agree that Je’Von Evans is better than Swerve Strickland?

Not yet, but he’s gaining on him very quickly. And at this rate, between WWE, NXT, etc., Je’Von will continue to improve and get better. Swerve is in AEW, so the growth stops, and if the other former WWE talents in AEW are any indication, his quality of work will decrease rather than grow. It won’t be long before Je’Von passes Swerve and leaves him in the rear-view mirror.

What’s the best movie with a pro wrestler in an acting role? The wrestler can’t be Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista, or John Cena.

The Longest Yard. It had Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, Goldberg, Bob Sapp, The Great Khali, etc., and it’s far more entertaining to me than anything Rock, Cena, or Batista have done.

Lacey Lane has signed with AEW. Thoughts?

Congratulations. Enjoy the big checks and the excessive time off for not wrestling.

What do you think? Should WWE sign IShowSpeed to a full-time deal?

I haven’t seen anything from him that impresses me, but it’s the WWE and their money, so if they see something there, go for it.

Vince Russo says Violent J of ICP is “the closest to a Vince McMahon” that he has ever worked with. Thoughts?

Is Russo calling Vince a clown? That’s his opinion, and I’m sure the paycheck that Russo is collecting from the ICP and their Juggalo Championship Wrestling does not influence his thoughts or comments. No, not at all. It’s just a coincidence.

Should WWE try to get Batista to come back and face Brock Lesnar at a WrestleMania?

Batista is not in wrestling shape and hasn’t had a match since WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Batista is an actor now. Brock is still a beast. No, Batista should not return to WWE or the ring.

Whatever happened to Above Average Mike Sanders? Is he still involved in professional wrestling?

Sanders wrestled his last match in 2005 and has since gone on to become a stand-up comic, actor, and motivational speaker. He currently lives in Atlanta, GA, and remains friends with Vince Russo. But Sanders is no longer involved in professional wrestling.

Ric Flair on Hulk Hogan’s death: “I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs. When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe anymore, he was in so much pain. Then he had a neck surgery and got infected. So back in the hospital—imagine 10 back surgeries, two knees, two hips, all this. And then when the doctor would not prescribe any more pain medicine, they just couldn’t do it. All due conscience, right? So they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, ‘You know what? Bingo. I can’t do it anymore.’” Thoughts?

And since saying this, Ric has started to backtrack and say this is what he heard from people close to Hogan, and doesn’t actually know for sure. In other words, Ric was talking to be talking, and riding the line on slander to get some news and a few headlines. Put away the bottle, Ric. Wooooo.

I’ll see you at the matches.
