Welcome to the show. It’s the only pro wrestling Q&A that matters. You have questions, and I have answers. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your party host, guiding light, and the man with the best mullet since Billy Ray Cyrus. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Should WWE drop the War Games spot as a PLE and make the match more random, yet meaningful?

It would make it seem more authentic to drop the gimmick as a regular PLE and use it as something a GM can pull up to settle things when things between wrestlers get totally out of hand. A regular event where a match has to be made to fit the gimmick twice, so the men and women can both have matches, seems forced. Survivor Series already has a hook, with the Survivor Series elimination matches. War Games is not needed for every November PLE.

Naomi & Jimmy Uso. It’s a boy. Thoughts?

Congratulations to Naomi and Jimmy. From what I understand, they decided to announce this after some complications with Naomi’s pregnancy. I hope it’s nothing serious. I remember Naomi mentioning that her pregnancy was high-risk, so this has me concerned. Keep these two in your thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to meeting a new Uce in a few more months.

Andrade says Meltzer is a liar, and he never signed an AEW contract, clarifying that it was only negotiations. Thoughts?

Actually, Meltzer didn’t specify if an actual contract had been signed or not, so Andrade is mistaken on this one. But Meltzer is a pinhead who makes up as much stuff as not, and tends to be a delusional dunderhead, so I can see why Andrade feels this way.

After watching War Games last night, I think I’m done with that gimmick for a while. This is supposed to be a brutal structure, and you’re in there with your worst enemies. But Jey Uso decides to take a dance break before Brock Lesnar comes out. I just shook my head.

That moment, in the middle of the match, had me shaking my head as well. When the guys were actually doing spots, I liked the match. But the stupid moments like that? They took me out of the match as well. Why? That was just a dumb moment, and WWE dropped the ball.

Iyo Sky and the trashcan spot. I love it and hate it all at once. It’s wild to watch, but the women just standing there waiting to save her from dying when she comes off the top is just so fake-looking. Thoughts?

If something is done too often, it loses its appeal and becomes just another spot. Iyo is amazing inside that ring, but the garbage can spot has been done every time she’s in the cage. That’s overexposure and killing the spot. It’s not special anymore. WWE dropped the ball here.

I wanted to see John Cena win his last PLE match, as did most of the fans at the show. Do you think they did the wrong thing by having him lose to Dominick Mysterio?

They did exactly the right thing in my opinion. Yeah, Cena lost the match, but it took the entire Judgment Day to beat him, plus the return of Liv Morgan and lots of cheating. It didn’t hurt Cena at all, plus it puts Dom over in a major way. WWE may have dropped the ball a few times during the War Games matches, but this match, they got it just right.

Becky Lynch is boycotting RAW until her Women’s Intercontinental Championship is returned, referee Jessika Carr is suspended, and she gets a public apology. Thoughts?

I love this new Becky, and this is some of the most entertaining work she’s done in a long while. We’ll hopefully get a future match with Jessika Carr to get her started as an in-ring talent, and more great heel work and tantrums from The Man in the weeks to come. She’s great.

Hulk Hogan’s widow, Sky, is pushing back and denies claims by Ric Flair that Hulk Hogan was killed by ‘street drugs’. Thoughts?

And Ric is claiming he had bad information, and now they should all move on and preserve Hulk’s legacy. Ric just doesn’t know when to shut up, and the attempts by Ric to make it a Ric Flair moment have backfired. Ric really needs to put that bottle down and vanish for a while.

Allegedly, WBD offered Tony Khan a television deal for ROH, but Tony turned it down because it wasn’t as much as he was hoping for. Thoughts?

Maybe it’s just me, but I would think the way to go would be to take the deal with the money increasing if ROH hits a certain point in the ratings. Any TV deal would be better than having a wrestling promotion that has two Television championships, but doesn’t have television. It seems that Tony is overestimating the worth of his company, but so long as he’s happy, and the checks continue to clear for the wrestlers, it’s great. I don’t get it, but Tony thinks it’s great, so nothing to see here. Oy vey!

AJ Styles says he plans on shaving his head when he retires from WWE and wrestling. Thoughts?

Note that he says after he retires, and not now. So, we won’t have to worry about fans shouting “bald-headed geek!” at AJ each week on RAW. And I can’t blame him. Longer hair can be hot and a pain at times. Bald or shorter hair is much cooler and easier to maintain. Do what you have to do, AJ. I’m sure it will be phenomenal.
